The problem is we've sold £45m worth of talent and brought in £25m worth of average/unproven players.

Hard to ignore at the moment, takes the piss really. Bruce is looking like a right plonker, things need to improve fast. Chelsea then Stoke....hmmmm

they have their shit days granted, they have bigger meltdowns than us sometimes :lol: But they seem to have more days when the atmosphere is good, not that there is that much in it.

I disageree. The atmosphere at Sid James is usually poor. It's as bad as ours that's for sure as they don't have an end which tends to sing like our SWC. Furthermore, the SWC is right next to the aways so the away support leaves with a good impression of our fans i.e. they think we're very vocal.

the away support at sjp is up in the gods though so doesn't generate an atmosphere with the home fans. They have a small section at the top of the upper tier in the corner which is quite vocal towards the away fans and the rest just comes from the lower bowl. It was very loud before kick off last year, it's a real shame we never have anything to cheer about in the derby's

My mates a Mag season ticket holder and he says the atmosphere is shit there so i'll take his word for it. When you go to the the Hotch Potch do you like the songs they sing and that get involved like?

That was for a derby game. They hadn't played us for a season and were desperate for revenge. It's not like that any other home game of the season.

They embarrassingly had a "bring back the noise" campaign only a few seasons that fell flat on its arse.

i appreciate it was only a derby game mate, there won't be much in it. But the last 18 month or so they have had more good days, probably because they handed out some beatings at home last season. Just think the sol has been very poor the last couple of years.

It depends where you are. I'm in the SWC. The atmosphere in there is better than away days.

aye, i sit in the west stand but right up against the swc and it's by far the best atmosphere in the ground. Shand the north stand doesn't pipe up even a few times a game.

They have plan and stick to it works. We on the other hand have no plan and seem lost.

aye. It's all about going back to the basics. At every level of their Club. On the pitch, they play a organised, opposition-limiting way. The fans, turn on the drivel when it suits them, when they're in good positions you'll hear them bleating about their glories etc.. Yet the next minute, they'll deflect all of the pressure onto us. The symptoms of real arrogance and delusion. Example that I heard before saturday the 20th- 'if sunderland don't win, don't beat us, they're in f***ing bother'. Season's 3 games old man.

Fair enough, they get decent crowds and they seem to stick with it. But don't know any real shite as a set of football supporters. do they? really? They were down for one season. I resent the 90's, mostly because of all the turncoats in 'tyne and wear' and the media that has made them what they are.

I wonder, if they faced any real difficulty, or if say Ashley stays on doing what he does, mugging them for every penny, whether they'll still have the backing they do.

same. The most southern westerners!

Just relax man. They've played two home games and got 4 points and won an away game against us which, tbf, was our own fault. We've played two away games and got 2 points. It's only three games into the new season ffs! The six points at this stage means nowt. We were 7 points clear of them at one stage and only finished 1 point above them in the end. And even then, that wasn't the case until West Brom came back from three down.

Got a team who fights for each other, a crowd who gets behind them 100% and pardew has done a good job in difficult circumstances. Hate the bastards but credit is due tbf

This! ^^^^^^^^^^^^^
we have 100% panic stricken moaners that can't wait to get on ther back of players, manager, or whoever may be passing at the time, Sunderland have the most negative people per square mile in England, call it karma, but negativity breeds negativity.
