For once we had hope.

For once we had a real revolution.

For once the club was vibrant.

For once we were at the centre of the football worlds attention.

For once we had real passion.

But now it's gone.

This won't be a one year Championship jaunt that we are facing now.

It will be the dawning of a new era of nothingness.

We deserve it for not standing by him.

The club, the players and a lot of the fans did this without even thinking of the alternatives.

We've shit the bed now it's time to lay in it.

:D:D Will it fuck.

We will just crack on and go again, its the way of things for Sunderland man.

crack on and go again!

go again and achieve what?

We will find ourselves back in the big time, have a visionary at the helm, face critical decisions, and the wheel will turn.

If we are lucky we will sign a proper footballer, probably a goal scorer, things will look good.

Maybe, just maybe, we will capitalise on the opportunity, or maybe we will fuck it up.

Great post.

For once we had hope.
No we didn't
For once we had a real revolution.
We didn't
For once the club was vibrant.
For about a minute
For once we were at the centre of the football worlds attention.
No we were not and any attention was negative
For once we had real passion.
Who? The manager did but he did not have the skills to pass that on and inspire players
But now it's gone.

This won't be a one year Championship jaunt that we are facing now.
We're well and truly fucked but not because of getting rid of him
It will be the dawning of a new era of nothingness.

We deserve it for not standing by him.
Surely a wind up?

Anything is preferable to that idiot in charge
We've shit the bed now it's time to lay in it.
Laying in Ellis Short's shit
A few thoughts on the above

Andy, there are many of us relate to what you have so eloquently said! They wanted the revolution but were not prepared for the pain and the consequences.

Hope? passion? wtf

We were bottom after losing to Palace and looked shit, i said before he left we'd have 1 point going into november

i agree

and now it's back to the one game at a time approach

just because the club lacked a backbone

even the way he was eventually sacked demonstrated this

I know it's already been said, but if it really was the crucible, we'd be the one sitting quietly in the chair in the corner as we get twatted 147-0 in every frame. We are the Peter Ebdon of football. Absolutely f***ing painful to watch,

No pain no gain!

Bit OTT in the dramatic language but generally agree.

Loads of people like me agreed with everything PDC said and wanted him to succeed.

The club feels fucked now and it seems unlikely that we'll find some motivation until the bad apples are moved on.

Always wondered if it would take a relegation to rebuild the fabric of the club and was happy-ish for this to have happened under PDC (preferring not to of course)

Just have to pray that Poyet can single handily lift the club of its arse and get some belief going cos if the staff feel the same as the fans it's going time a long hard relegation season...

Laughable.

Di Canio was a loon, he's gone, Catts is still here and comfortably one of our better players.
Well comfortable Cattermole stayed on the pitch and didn't get booked. Well done.

But he was playing in a 4 1 4 1 formation just in front of the back four. We lost by four goals to nil. Not much to crow about there then for his defensive qualities.

But I would have gladly suffered championship with PDC because I feel there was still a huge change and exciting football happening. And championship would have been temporary. Yesterday's game was like the dark ages, no excitement, no hope, no nothing....very very down about my club.
