The Ref

I can't think of any real glaring errors today other than perhaps s yellow for puncheon. It was only really the last few minutes he started getting a bit stick as he gave a free kick against anichebe which could've gone either way, the shoulder charge on wickham looked slightly from behind to me so again I can't grumble too much at that and apparently last free kick which resulted in goal was a free kick, I couldn't see as too far away.
Other than that he didn't get too much flak really.

Only the last few minutes he was getting stick . Were you there? He was booed off at half time and we were winning.

i thought he was shit along with the majority in the stadium
You think otherwise
We will agree to disagree & move on
Just a thought

Everyone who was there has said he was shit

He made me so fk'n angry. Gave them every bastard decision and waved away our claims for similar scenarios

It's no use mate time and time again the ref apologists have been told this but just ignore it.

that was never a free kick

Neither were almost all of the ones he gave them

What part? He wasn't at fault for any of goals we conceded and as someone has pointed out Defoe was apparently offside in build up to our second!

It must have been him who gave about his 10th soft free kick for the winner them

So would you wish Defoe pain and call him a wanker and a bastard if he missed a last minute pen, after all he would have helped hurt 45k people?

No issues with anybody saying he had a terrible game that's their opinion and have every right to it.

But wishing a ref pain for simply having a bad game when you had nearly 3 hours to calm down is sad as fuck in my opinion.

I disagree wouldn't be too unhappy if something happens to him after that performance.

If you mean anichebe then that could've gone either way, Kone went into wickham from behind then I can't comment on free kick that led to goal as too far away but quite a few seem to think it was a fair decision.

There is a few could have gone either way but they always and I mean always went their way.

Will still wake up in the morning bottom thanks to that useless bag of shite.

He didn't though.

He did every single one.

And people at the game are usually wrong about the referee. They have a crap view, a single chance to see it from much further away than the ref and his assistants and 90% don't even know the rules. Not to mention how many have had a drink.

I think he got the Anchibe free kick wrong. I think the Kone shoulder barge was debatable, the Manquillo one was a foul. The Kirchoff excellent tackle also a foul (two hands to pull him back before making the tackle). What else did he get "wrong"?

The Cabaye incident anyone with half a brain could see he was faking it

That first paragraph simply sums it up.

Haven't read the whole thread but you know the refs having a shit game when you go in 1 up at half time and he still gets booed

I thought he had a poor game, however fans booing means asbouletly fuck all.

Fans boo at half time whenever their team have not got decisions go their way,not because a ref is having a poor game.

There is a massive difference between the two.

Just like you ignore responses which go completely against your argument??

You've already been proven wrong, yet you persist.

Benteke is a big unit mind, so too is Victor, but we don't do the crossing thing very well. I thought we had enough height and strength at central defence (even without Kaboul) to deal with a couple of big strikers but as mentioned earlier or elsewhere, we need to learn how to block or prevent the cross.

Young Jordan's PL clean sheet is on hold.

Aye mate, it speaks absolute volumes the lack of ex top players to become referees. Their wealth of experience would be invaluable but quite simply, they can't do it but can criticise those who can.

Thats why they dont

he got a lot wrong including not booking Cattermole for a lunge tackle and they should of had a penalty in 2nd half when kone (IIRC) handled in the box. he was conned by falling yellow jerseys.

Was going to make this exact point.

He was f***ing shit. It wasn't a foul on Wickham for the 3rd either. Yeah Manquillo touched him, but those saying he shouldn't have would have been the first ones complaining when he gave Wickham too much space to cross the ball.

There is about another 20 threads on this board about how poor we have been,Moyes tactics, players performing sub standard, lack of transfer activity,I could go on and on but the reason according to you we will still wake up this morning bottom of the table,is thanks to the ref yesterday!
