There's a clear difference.
The ball changed the direction of N'Dong's foot, which otherwise wouldn't have been going over the top of the ball.
That said, I think the way he went in to it with his studs up and back foot off the floor was wreckless.

Wasn't really in control with his studs up, doubt the club will even try and get it rescinded as some are on about. It was a tackle that reeks of a player simply not paying attention because he doesn't give a fuck. No malicious intention or particular anger behind it, just lazy tackle because he wants away imo.

None of us would have that as a red card as we want football to involve tackles and trying to win the ball. He won the ball and was very unlucky that his studs rolling of the ball raise his foot and the rest is history. The trouble is nowadays, as we also all know, if we appeal that decision we would have absolutely no chance of getting it overturned it will be deemed dangerous foul play all day long and a lengthy ban follows.
