I am appalled that the king fella in the photo was, and remained for decades a nazi sympathiser, but I denounce the nazi party and all that it stands for.

She doesn't need to. Should an adult apologise for something they did as a child? Unless it's a murder or something really really evil then I'd pass it off a something that should have been managed better by their parent or guardian.
Your response is likely to be based around the fact that Queen Elizabeth II isn't a 'normal' person and should always show a superior morality and code of conduct because of her status and power but I can't see what point it would prove. Her uncle was a Nazi, he coaxed her to do a Nazi salute. Big wow, English footballers did it too as they were under pressure but at least could have made the decision to do it or refuse to do it based on adult rationality.
