The Pompey pel that wasn’t given

Desperation as you change the story from what you said earlier
During the game "He kicked the man"
A little after "He made contact with the man 0.00001 seconds before making contact with the ball"
Now "Doesn't matter he won the ball it was reckless"

What tomorrow?

That just confirms what I saw at the time, he clears the ball a millisecond after the attacker nudges it forward an inch.
@dangermows banging on all night that he kicked the player not he ball is hilarious, watch it tomorrow when sober mate.
Even if you're reet, as others have pointed out, you can get the ball first and it's still a foul haha.

Flanagan clears the ball just before their lad gets a touch on the ball and catches him on the follow through. Nowt he can do about that.
I honestly don't know how you can say that when it's clear that the spin of the ball changes. The fact Flanagan actually 'mishits' the ball as the Portsmouth player toe pokes it forward is also a clue. I can't even see how you think Flanagan gets it first and then the Portsmouth lad after as he's nowhere near once Flanagan toe slices it away.

Though if you've been supping alcohol and watching this on a Nokia 3310 then I can see why ;)

You've asked yourself the question. Whilst suggesting others are pissed :lol:

He didn't get a toe on it though. He leathered it clear and got him on the follow through. It wasn't even a tackle. It was a clearance!

Not even close to being a penalty.
He sliced it clear a split second after the Portsmouth player got a toe on it, and then he clattered into him with the follow through. It was a wild attempted clearance and we got a bit of luck, you see penalties given for similar quite often (rightly or wrongly). In that split second it looked a pen.

I'll leave it there as I can't be arsed arguing the point. I'm chuffed it wasn't given, though reckon Burge would have saved it anyway.

Just watched the highlights on Sky, the first Pen appeal, the Pompey striker should of been Yellow Carded. glad we never signed Marquis what a cheating idiot. The 2nd Pen appeal, Flanagan got the ball first just, was close but two correct decisions. The biased commentators, pundits, pompey players and their staff it is all sour grapes, they got out classed by us and can't handle it!

Flanagan was a bit lucky. He made his mind up that he was going to take a big hoof at the ball, but the Pompey player got a toe on the ball before Flanagan and Flanagan's wild swing slices the ball clear and takes the lad out on the follow through. He got the ball before the man, clearly - and got plenty on the ball - but you can get the ball first and it can still be a foul. It was a little bit lucky.

The one in the first half I've seen from about 5 angles and I can't see any contact at all on Marquis - it looks more like he tripped himself.
