even their manager said it wasn’t talking bollocks again
So is Phillipsy talking bollocks when he said "it's a clear penalty. Every Sunderland fan will admit they got away with one"?

And the other two in the studio agreed.

You're talking bollocks. But probably pissed tbf.

Sinderefan till I die

@hank williams saying their gaffer said the ref was reet then likes a post saying their gaffer said the refs decisions went against them
The ref said no pen = no pen. The pundits can slavver on til the cows come home. What they think doesn’t make a blind bit of f**king difference. We’ve had plenty blatantly wrong decisions made against us. F**k the lot of them.
I'd agree with this. It's good to finally have a dodgy decision go our way.

All the pundits certain it was but I still can’t make my mind up. It looks clumsy but how does the ball go forward from Flanagan if he doesn’t make contact with the ball? Might just be me like.
I'm not sure either, but if he got the ball it wasn't, if he didn't get the ball it was. The stuff about the follow through is just nonsense, it wasn't a sliding tackle and you can't stop your leg the millisecond you touch the ball. These goons on the telly would have 3/4 penelties a game. I mean is a defender allowed to go for the ball or not.

It was 100% a nailed on penna.

Second one marra. Slowed it down. All three, including Phillipsy, said it was nailed on.

Me too, we never usually get dodgy decisions in our favour.
It’s difficult when it’s slowed right down as you can make a case for things either way. In real-time I thought it wasn’t purely on the basis of the direction of the ball after the challenge.

Yep absolutely let’s keep hope things keep going our way mate.

If they had been given a penalty it would have been Pompey's only shot on target during the game. If they had scored with it the game would have simply ended 1 -2.

Having had only one shot not on target during the entire game scoring a penalty wasn't going change anything as they were never going to score a second or a third even if they been there all night.

I always view it as would I be pissed off if that was us attacking. Yes I would, but after some of the decisions against us this year, I’ll take it.

I am just really pissed off I am WFH and not able to stroll around work getting pats on the back from the Southampton fans and smiling at the Portsmouth lot.
