The Pompey pel that wasn’t given

Watch the way the spin of ball (it's blurring) change dramatically and the ball changes direction (goes down) when the Portsmouth player toes it and you briefly see the clear blue stripes for 2 frames before Flanagan hoofs it away with his toe.

The truth is there if people look for it ;)

Not a penna a genuine attempt to clear the ball and the Portsmouth player doesn't get it under control plus it was cleared and they collided around the same time.
Not a pen in a million years and the VAR massive can eat their own shite.

Maybe if Marquis wasn’t diving about first half trying to win a pen the ref might have been minded to give them a 50-50 one.

I won’t miss Pompey one bit if we can get up and they don’t. Right snide fuckers. Anyone notice that Curtis trying to get Sanderson sent off saying to the linesman he stamped on him.
Curtis is a grade A kernt, he could’ve been sent off in the 3-1 defeat a few years back. I right proper worky ticket.

Flanagan booted the ball and caught the lad with the follow through. It would likely have been given in the PL but hard for the Ref to spot it clearly first view.

If they had been given a penalty it would have been Pompey's only shot on target during the game. If they had scored with it the game would have simply ended 1 -2.

Having had only one shot not on target during the entire game scoring a penalty wasn't going change anything as they were never going to score a second or a third even if they been there all night.
Who says they would have hit the target?😁

I honestly don't know how you can say that when it's clear that the spin of the ball changes. The fact Flanagan actually 'mishits' the ball as the Portsmouth player toe pokes it forward is also a clue. I can't even see how you think Flanagan gets it first and then the Portsmouth lad after as he's nowhere near once Flanagan toe slices it away.

Though if you've been supping alcohol and watching this on a Nokia 3310 then I can see why ;)

You need an opticians appointment.

That happened right in front of the dugout and no one battered an eye at. Their manager was probably closest to it.

Definitely not a penalty. It's been said the slow motion clearly shows it wasn't. In addition the change in direction of the deflected ball was probably the reason the ref didn't give the penalty.

Did you not see it flying 40-50 yards in a completely different direction after he had 'slightly touched' the ball?
He's cleared it almost out of touch on the opposite side of the pitch before coming together with their player.

He didn't just get something on it though, he's cleared it out of the box and nearly out of play on the opposite side of the pitch before contact with their player
It was reckless as fuck though. He booted their lad in the air in the box. I feel as if it's a pen and would be given if the ref saw it on the monitor.

Just my opinion and I can see why people wouldn't give it but I'd be screaming if it was the other way round.

Can’t see why people are arguing about it. The FACT of the matter is it was NOT a penalty. Only person whose opinion matters decided that when the “incident/tackle/clearance” actually happened.
