The Owners

Is expecting better than 5th unrealistic?

I expect us to be in the Premier League but I don’t whinge constantly about it.

It’s a long term fix not a one season wonder. I’d rather we did it by actually building something.

We have owners, players and a manager who actually give a fuck. It hasn’t been ideal but people need to cut them some slack til the end of the season.

Some on here would rather we failed so they could say I told you so.

They wont be, I think the fans of us and the mags are well known for the way we gan on like fannies when things are not going exactly our way. They knew from day 1 the first time owt went wrong a section of our fans would gan on like twats and they havent been let down.

Are we? I think in general for many years we've been incredibly patient and supportive. The anger to Short was justified. The anger now isnt IMO.

If they are in it for the money then why give 20% of the club away to Sartori for shrapnell?

Given many fans looked at the state of the club last summer and said we would be relegated then aye.......The shocking state this club was it was never going to be turned round in a few months, amazes me we are just 3 games away from promotion.
Disagree 100%. Manager has been backed to record breaking levels and he has failed. The longer hes been here the worst weve got.

This isn't Peterborough United mate

Peterborough United werent in the mess we were last summer.....We were £130 million in debt with millions still owed, some of which was for players we have never even owned.

People go on about our budget but we have spent more sorting out the Alverez debacle than our entire budget for this season and we never even owned Alverez....This is the kind of shit the owners have had to deal with.

No, nor whether it's been repaid. RAWA and RR are looking into it.

You reckon it could be something to do with this?

Stewart Donald praises Ellis Short and reveals details of Sunderland sale and wiping £152m debt

'Short has written off all of the personal debts to him and the majority of the bank debt so far, with the remaining debt to the bank - reported to be around £10million - being paid off by Short, rather than Sunderland AFC'

Club loans Short the money to pay off bank loan, and Short repays loan when installments due to him for sale of the club are received?

Nobody would rather we failed, absolute horseshit man.

What are we actually building? We have style of play? No gameplan.

Forget all that. The manager still had a transfer budget more than the rest of the league combined and has a squad of players than any team in the league would have swapped with. He has underachieved big time.

The other stuff is irrelevant, the owners gave him a top 2 squad and hes fucked it up.

I know we don’t appear to. Have a read of the match thread today and you’ll see I said that.

Now isn’t the time for people to be turning against each other. I’m sure every one knows we’ve not lived up to expectations but Christ, we’ve still got a chance of going up.

Wait til this time next week and see where we are.

Nope, the amount was due from a group company. There were no ownership connections with Short once the sale was completed.

I completely agree and will back the lads 100%. I just think Ross is losing the plot atm like

The owners delegated it to Coton, he put together McLaughlin and a pack of midgets that run like they're wading through treacle

What needs looking into ? The owner was asked the question tonight and he said he would answer after the play offs . Not sure why he would need to wait until then

Just an explanation of why the football club loaned money to another group company, and if the amount has been repaid since the year end. Upward loans aren't in any illegal, but they aren't common, and the EFL tends not to like them much.
