The Owners

If I was the owner of a football club, that I had no allegiance to or history with, and the fans were as whingey and ungrateful as our supporters are, I’d be tempted to fuck it off.

The amount of effort that they’ve put in since last summer, the amount of shite that they’ve had to deal with. It’s incredible that some of our lot are constantly on their backs.
This^ the constant whinging from some of our fans is embarrassing, the owner has put a lot of effort in behind the scenes to turn the club around and yet still gets loads of grief

They'll get a massive profit when they sell the club. Bless them if they csnt handle moans at finishing 5th in the third f***ing division. Maybe Sunderland isn't for them if thats the case.

There’s a difference between supporters being disappointed in our performance this season, and supporters calling the owners ‘charlatans’ and the like.

I’m disappointed that we didn’t secure automatic promotion but I appreciate the effort that they’ve put in.

Get slagged off for talking to the media too much, get slagged off for not saying much... they literally can't win with some of our miserable fans
This ^ never realised how many whinging fans we have till this season, you would think we were getting relegated again the way some of gone on. Should of been a full house 2morow to get behind the lads, instead we are going to have a crowd that probably just matches our league game crowds, don’t get it !!

It's not just footy fans. If you look all over social media and the likes, most stuff these days is just an excuse for people to moan.

Absolutely anything you see, the moaners are out in force.

I’m not a happy clapper but am amazed at the stick our new owners are receiving. If it was due I’d say fair enough but the whingers on here amaze me, they should realise if it wasn’t for these guys and Short’s benevolence our club could could have ended up in liquidation. The posters concerned should button their lips and at least wait until the end of the season before complaining. I for one regret I’m not at home until after the seasons end and will still support my club even in league one.

I've not got much of a feel for the owners taking a lot of flack to be honest. The players, yes. The manager, yes. I'd argue the owners haven't fallen short of their responsibilities this season. They've backed the manager, the team and done their best to communicate with the fans as much as they can.

I’m a little bit concerned that the silence seems to be continuing. Particularly in the face of poor ticket sales for Saturday. Why have they gone quiet now? Most important time of our season.

But weren't we on a thread the other day where Donalds holiday from Twitter was being discussed? He said he was taking a break, he then replied to an Oxford fan which he got criticism for on here, but also to one of the SAFC fanzines about an interview which no one seemed to mention when he was getting stick. I haven't checked since but if he hasn't said anymore why is it an issue, what exactly can he say? You said previously we want answers and I explained why he wouldn't be able to give any, now it's concerning you?

They'll only get a massive profit if they do things right , promotion and not hanging around long. If that happens then fair play for them to taking it on when others wouldn't.

I also think you're underplaying the amount of vitriol flying anyone's way at the moment. I see little or no benefit in them staying on Twitter at the moment taking the same shit over and over when the season isn't actually finished and determined yet. What can they say that they haven't already?

Is it me or are they being really quiet the last couple of weeks?
Personally think they’ve realised these rallying calls they often force on us haven’t, and won’t work as the manager is a bottler. I mean that, or the fact they’ll only have the club till June so aren’t really bothering.

I’m not just talking about Stewart Donald being on Twitter. I’m also talking about the lack of PR out of the club as a whole in comparison to what we’ve had most of the season. I must point out that I’m not being critical, I am just curious as to why.

The seem seems to be getting WMS, RR and ALS to do it for them atm.

Tbf it doesn't bother me at all. The #fireupthecity bollox was cringe worthy and does anyone actually buy a ticket just because the twitter account has asked them to?

More than likely half the whingers don't attend mate.

A crowd that matches the majority of our players attitude and ability
