The Open 2019

Did I just hear Laura Davies say JB Holmes plays quick?!

He shows his passion for the game, especially when things go wrong, but I don't see any petulance. The way he handled himself at Augusta in 2016 was an example of it, clearly devastated but just got on with it professionally.

Did you see the US Open? Disgusting behaviour towards his caddy. That wasn't a one off either.

Is this the last major of the year? if it is they should put it back to the way it was before, so the last one is played in August. There must be some big money tournaments coming up over the next couple of months for players to earn fedex points.

Willet

Yeah, they moved the schedule forward to get the FedEx Cup into August, so they don't lose Sunday viewers to NFL.

I did see it, hardly unusual to see a player venting towards his caddy when things haven't gone as they had both hoped, main difference on that occasion was that the mics picked it up and there was a massive overreaction on social media.

Players have behaved far worse towards caddies than that before and barely had a mention.

Is the biggest golf cliche ever 'You have to be a good ball striker to win round here?'
I'd love to have a go on some of the courses where you don't have to be a good ball striker, my handicap would plummet.

The weather is set to deteriorate by about midday here tomorrow. I expect the early starters and a few links specialists to be the main beneficiaries

Agree. So does Justin Rose. Something wrong about the major season ending and we are only halfway through the summer.
