The "offside" for the Norwich goal

People went on ridiculous over this mind.

Hes onside for starters and even if he wasn't then I don't think he actually interfered anyway and the problem was ekwah gave up.

I'm for giving officials stick but sometimes the fans just get it wrong.

Well it's often said that explaining the offside rule to those that have never played or watched football is quite difficult.

Perhaps judging by this thread the current arcane offside laws are rather opaque also to those who are supposed to be knowledgeable of the game?

it’s miles closer than it looked at the match and not helped by the fact the assistant went to put his flag up and stopped himself, but the people who are saying he is miles onside, you do know that looks like that because of the angle of the camera don’t you? You can follow the cut of the grass and they are both on about the same spot

Proof that was before the ball was kicked yes the still image and the video,

It was 21 seconds he kicks the ball, he did look onside to me however but the frame that’s been given was just before

About 1.40 in Norwich commentator says off side twice

Everyone’s saying different
You're talking nonsense here mind. I've just paused the vide AFTER the pass has been made and you can see the ball moving.

He still looks onside and at worst marginal. Pure nonsense to say he's well offside
That’s before he played the ball. It was blatantly offside when he played it.
Wrong

Onside, miles onside it doesn’t really matter.

Yeah I'm not convinced he's actually offside at all. The player clearly thought he was, as did Ekwah and everyone else. If he was offside, he was absolutely definitely interfering.

He’s not even close to onside. I’m going to go with the opinions of commentators with the footage rather than you you with a ruler and a Bush 42”

I said it’s onside, I’ve said from the still it looks like the ball hasn’t been played it’s a still. You can manipulate a frozen image anyway you like.

Norwich commentators said it’s off.

I said it looked on 😂😂

Commentators who are irrelevant? Aye megabantz when you're wrong.

The ball has visibly been played on the screenshot I've posted and he still looks onside.
