The Metropolitan Police are expecting us

A MESSAGE FROM THE MET , due to safety concerns next Sunday , could all coach and car drivers please set their SATNAVS to this post code for ease of parking and to ensure the day goes off peacefully , PL2 3DQ. Thank you
This takes you to where exactly

No it must be quite tough x
Policing football is normally an easy shift unless they are expecting trouble. If that, the level 2 boys will either be kept in reserve or do pub sweeps to prevent trouble escalating. Other than that its have a laugh and joke with supporters. His last football shift was escorting 1500 frankfurt fans from Trafalgar square to stamford bridge. Minor bother only.

Thats still closer to wembley than sunderland. Just catch a train if you get there early enough

There were loads of kids there last time, loving it. The atmosphere was building really early on so even if you just took them for a bit, and then see how it goes before deciding the right time to leave, I’m sure they’d always remember it.
IT was a fantastic atmosphere whether people were drinking alcohol or not. No bother whatsoever and what football should be all about and very proud to be Safc.

Going to be intresting with Villa, Derby ect all in the smoke.

The MET policed us brilliantly because we behaved, they also policed Wembley Way well and stood off when there were some small confrontations that I think would have become major issues had they got involved.......Wouldnt worry though, anybody who has seen the MET in action knows well enough that if there is any proper disorder goes off they will show their less friendly side

You'd think they would have the common sense to bring some wheelie bins in for saturday night this time. Probably wont happen like

They had blokes going round with big pull along bins every hour or so, it was getting cleaned as it went along its just we drawn a LOT of booze. By the next morning it was spotless......Sunderland Council take note.

Class that mind....tbf the police and stewards at Portsmouth were saying safe journey home and good luck in the final on our way out.

Doesn't take much to leave a good or bad impression.

Same on way in, really nice people and some of their stewards were even helping our late comers putting their flags out in the stand.

I'd love to be going down Saturday and doing Trafalgar. Sadly, with 2 kids in tow it's probably not the right environment :-(

I was going to do the same, but the difference in price for a hotel on Saturday and Sunday was astronomical, even doing it as 2 separate bookings in different hotels was daft.

So just down on the Sunday and back on Monday, should still be a decent atmosphere in and around London before and after the game
