Whoever does it normally is spot on despite serious provocation. Not sure if somebody else is responsible today. That is disgraceful PR.
I had a minor Twitter spat with him once when I pointed out that his shirt wasn't ironed. He came back with some bizarre Christmas jumper related excuse and wasn't happy about it.Colin Briggs getting a dig in.
The ones that terminate at Pelaw normally start from Regent Centre or Monkseaton. If one of the Monkseaton ones are off then it’s a massive struggle to get everyone onto the train ie the shields one as loads of people use them to get into the city centre. Of course by the time they get to Heworth/Pelaw they're normally practically empty.the service has been bit more reliable recently (bar the snow) , ive noticed they now reduce number of metros that only go to pelaw which always seemed a complete waste of metros anyway as both south shields and sunderland metros go past pelaw anyway, its not rocket science
Perhaps they’ve taken a tip from south east rail and give the twitter account to the school work experience lad? That is disgraceful PR.
I'd forgotten about that, it was hilarious.Perhaps they’ve taken a tip from south east rail and give the twitter account to the school work experience lad?
Was a trespasser on the line near the SOLDelayed this morning. Some on going incident between sol and Seaburn!
Not a great couple of days for them...and Nexus think they should be allowed to run the system full time.
Metro worker electrocuted as he repaired overhead rail lines, inquest hears
And:
Metro train avoids hitting track workers 'by two seconds'
When will the advertise for a company to run it, I wonder...
Sounds like the lad didn't have a ticket to be working on the line where he was as well. RIP to the poor bugger. The incident where the guy was electrocuted - RIP - happened in 2014 so that was when DBTW had the concession.
The other one was more recent. Credit to the driver who did everything he needed to do.

Nexus, as a public body, already sets fares and service specifications for Metro as well as maintaining most of the infrastructure on which trains run.
