I'm not saying he's as good as Messi or Ronaldinho but they've being doing it for years. It's tricky to defend against.

quality defending the bloke in the red aint watchng the ball hopeless positioning....the two in blue are numpties mgeedy is rumnning away from goal they should have let one follow him and imagine if the bloke with the short hair simply backed off a couple of feet!..the problem with this trick is that its a move hes practiced over and over again and if you look at him he is carrying it out without regard to the defendes position as hes not looking sometimes it works (gets filmed) most of the time it fails ..decent defenders will watch the videos and laugh their tits of when he does it ......bobby moore would die laughing!

We were sat in the second row at pitch level with Mcgeady directly in front of us during the first half.
Their full back looked absolutely terrified every time Aidan ran at him, no wonder they doubled up on him during the second half.

With regard to that number 7 in the video. Just before full time we had a perfect view of their midfielder's face when he tried to press Grant Leadbitter and got nutmegged for his trouble.

I’d suggest PL ability with Championship legs nowadays playing in League One. He was certainly PL class in his prime though

Always think of him as a Jason Koumas type.

Koumas had shitloads if natural ability, ags of it, and everyone always thought he'd be a top player. But there's more to being a top player than fancy tricks and he was f***ing bone idle, and as such never was more than a bit part PL player.

McGeady is the same - skillful, handy but not good enough to me make up for the fact he doesn't put in much of a shift.

Well, maybes so....but two months doesn't make a good career. He's generally speaking being lazy for most of his career now. Hence the inability to make it. If you're gonna be lazy, you've got to be incredibly talented.
