The Mandalorian.

Much better episode this week for me.
yeah i'll second this, enjoyed this episode whereas felt the first one was a bit meh. i'm less interested in his back story with the sand people than the current one though with jabba's cousins etc...
As for Angry Chewie, I'm pretty sure we'll see him throw down soon enough.
he was excellent...
The way these series manage to go back and explore, expand the world really lays bare how bad the new movies are. Tuskens getting superior character development than the main characters in the 15-19 films.
i think this is why people are calling the last few years the new golden-era of tv. the advent of on-demand streaming services off the back of the dvd boxset binge format means that the audience is there to invest time and energy in these stories... the "movies" don't have the time available on the silver screen for this kind of story telling - apparently.

The sequel films were terrible. TFA made no sense and it was a disgrace that Luke, Han and Leia weren’t reunited on screen. TLJ - tried too hard to be subversive and clever and, rightly or wrongly, didn’t pick up on any of the threads TFA left and it was shit what they done with Luke. TRoS somehow managed to be even worse.

It’s tricky to express your dislike of the sequel trilogy without getting dumped in with the really toxic fandom who’ve went to extraordinary lengths to pull apart the movies and abuse Kathleen Kennedy, Johnson etc, but they were really shockers.

I’d like to think if she could have the time over again, KK would make sure there’s at least a cohesive, over-arching story happening and have had someone like Favreau and Filoni overseeing it. Maybe she wanted them but couldn’t make it happen, who knows?

It would be great if SW could make a successful return to cinema, as good as the series are a cinematic release is a real magical event and It would be a shame if that doesn’t happen.

I wouldn’t agree, however I lived it through the eyes of the bairn who experienced a trilogy the same way I did when I was their age - and this is partly why I’ve continued to watch mando & boba, it’s a shared family event for us.

Being a bairn makes Star Wars wonderful, you don’t over think it I would guess.

It’s entirely possible to make something that appeals to adults and kids, look at The Mandalorian and the majority of Marvel films or even your average Pixar flick. Using the ‘it’s made for kids’ line shouldn’t absolve the writers from delivering a cohesive plot and relatable, likeable characters.

How long before Bossk makes an appearance? They've already shown a load of Trandoshans in Mos Espa so it's only a matter of time.

Ep3
devasted to see the Tuskens killed

Also, surreal seeing the Mayors too knobhead being chased by mods on lambrettas
Weakest episode so far for me. The chase scene was just awful, it felt like they were riding through treacle and those bikes just don’t feel like Star Wars at all. The fight with Krrisantan was a let down, especially since he got took down by a bunch of kids. I hope they’re not going to be in the series too much but I think I’m going to be disappointed and they really need to write them better dialogue than calling Fett ‘mate’.

Hope this was a blip but I don’t think this is going to reach anywhere near the level of The Mandalorian unfortunately.

It was atrocious. The kiddy in the grey coat looks like he should be in Quadrophinia. It was painfully slow and the droid stood in the way was very Phantom Menace. Theres been a few instances like this in the disney era that look too earth like. That god awful casino thing in the last jedi springs to mind (admittedly ive only watched that film once, the day it came out and intend to never see it again. But I seem to recall it looking like a generic casino with the odd alien in it.

Totally. The colour scheme on those bikes wasn’t keeping within what you’d see a street urchin gang scooting around on. Obviously a tip of the hat to American Graffiti but it was as out of place as their dialogue.

I think the Rodriguez directed episodes of this and Mando have been the least enjoyable and I don’t really like the way he’s shot stuff. The episode from Mando blatantly looked like a patch of sand from earth rather than the other worldly look other directors have managed 🤷🏻‍♂️
