The manager speaks .....

Fuck off man, he played full back because Matthews was always injured....When he was fit he wasnt as good as 09.......Couple that with the fact we had 8 centre mids and it was obvious why he didnt play further up the field.........Oh and lets not re write history, when he played early in the season and played attacking midfield, a good few on this board had him written off and said he was out of his depth.

Matthews was fit for half the season. Had 1 bad game at Oxford and got bombed again.

Played half the season before getting a niggle before Christmas that kept him out for a month. After that Ross said Matthews was fit just not getting picked.

Wasn't good as O'Nien yet got nominated for PFA player of the month for September ... Those are the facts.

I wasn't particularly a Matthews fan but O'Nien was gash at full back. If he was any good it wouldn't have been the first position we addressed, especially now Love is fit as back up (who started opening day before damaging ligaments) and Flanagan can play there.

He can bullshit all he likes. But he is out of his depth

Ffs, give the bloke a chance.

As an exile I rely on this board as a gauge of fans thoughts and posts like like don't help

This! I couldn’t make it through 2 minutes. I realise how immature this is, but bloody hell he’s so monotone

So tell the world how exactly he is supposed to behave

Agree with this. Matthews was too injury prone to be relied upon and Donald Love is turd.

We should have brought another RB in January but didn’t, so we had to persevere with an attacking midfielder who looked solid most of the times but was prone to being out of position now and again (to be expected since it’s not his position).

I’m glad to hear we’re planning to play O’Nien as an actual midfielder this season.

Agreed, was hoping for someone like Gateshead.

Other than Donald Love, who?
Oviedo or Flanagan

Give it a rest, that’s got to be 1 of the most annoying things you here from fans, “he’s out of his depth”

It was proven last season with our non promotion with the players we had the formations we used the substitution 's we did and didn't make. Oh and poor transfer window selections

Looks like a few are itching for Ross to fail this season before a ball is even kicked.

Just get behind the bloke and the team ffs.
He obviously made some mistakes last season, I'm sure he'd be the first to admit that, he's a young manager and I'm sure he's had enough time over the summer to mull over things that went wrong last season and will be looking to rectify them.

Just means if we start poorly he'll be canon fodder. I'm sure if the team shows improvement in performances he'll win back the support easily enough.

He could have had better answers for this mind

So why did you buy Burge & Conor

It was pretty much “They were free and available”
