The Mag Mirror reckons Short ready to sell....

Nothing we don't already know. Is there anyone who wouldn't be ready to sell after pouring quarter of a billion quid down the drain, spending more time reading court transcripts than being safe in the PL?

What we can give him credit for is he's still trying to get it right. 99% of owners would have stopped spending money above what was required to keep the club afloat by now. Which is why we need to be very careful as the next owner could be part of that 99%

Common sense

Would love to see the back of Shorty, he cares fcuk all about football and Sunderland. As for reading the red rag, probably Comrade Corbyn, a few junior doctors, and lots of teachers, which probably explains the state of education in this country

That's not true, cut the bloke a bit of slack. He openly wears a ftm badge, took a dunking for charity naming fat Mike Ashley and Jack Colback as the next recipients if memory serves and took massive exception to Ashley's behaviour last time they beat us. He might not be the best owner in the world but to say he doesn't care for Sunderland is wrong.

Thought it was pretty obvious short would sell, if someone offered him a decent offer. Non story for me.
Of course he would. Given the problems he clearly has had ( granted, some of them his own bad decision making) I would surprised if there are any takers. Even if there were, I would be suspicious of their motives.

Does he know where SOL is?

Excellent article full of quotes and a nice word of how Rafa Benitez (1 point from first 2 games) will fire Newcastle up the table. All of it will definitely happen.

I suspect he would if he can get his money back or near enough. If we stay up the new TV Deal will increase the clubs value so he might have a chance.

Exactly that. Not a single quote or source.

Trouble is, the club being the secret society that it is no one will confirm of deny it am sure.

Surely makes the hunt for a new chief exec even more difficult.
It could all tie in that there is a buyer and they wanted the decks clearing before takeover. I however doubt any substance in the story at all simply because it's in the mirror and I refuse to read the story. On the grounds I'm making assumptions I could easily write for the mirror couple that with my shocking grammar and spelling I could be editor at the chronicle
