The AJ case wouldn't have been all over the news if the thick arrogant prick had managed to not stick his fingers in an under aged girls kegs. That is hardly the fault of the local bbc and to compare it to hiding a peadophile of savilles ilk 30 years ago is quite frankly pathetic but hey it suits your agenda.
The local bbc have gone way over what they needed to do in the aj case. Sunderland afc should not take pelters off an organisation that let systematic child abuse take place over decades.

It is blatant the local bbc have an agenda against sunderland afc. Tell me is it good use of our money that the presenter of their flagship radio show (who is also a newcastle season ticket holder) asking a solicitor from blyth his view after the case? Do you work for the bbc?

Political witch hunt from the left that hates football. Newcastle is desperate as well all know they are going down.

Fight fight fight

Mine would knack ye anarl. Still half heartedly embarrassed about when he grabbed ahold of me mate by the bollocks. Don't know about you, but I struggle with a scene where a Westie is swinging round with his mouth clamped round yer mate's gnads. Ah mean, what are you supposed to do? or say? Thought about hitting him over the head with a newspaper, but me mate is alright to be fair.

:lol::lol:

Marley and me. Got fuck all on me and me hound. Little bastard that he is. Fucker bit me once when I removed a lamb bone from his mouth that was stuck in his upper jaw. It was driving him mad but he thought I was trying to steal it

I'm wary of being paranoid about this stuff and I live out of the area but definitely the national BBC items on this also seemed to be really missing no opportunity to push the suggestion that the club was at fault. E.g they wheeled out the NSPCC to harp on about the risks to children presented by Johnson still playing after being charged. What risk? There was something strange going on. Well beyond what was needed, as you say.

No I don't work for the bbc, I just think the whole "agenda" thing is bullshit. Are they not reporting on Jonas taking the mags to court and how badly they behaved once he was diagnosed with testicular cancer ? Yes they are. Did they report on Ashley's comments about wishing he never got involved with football and the bank account being empty ? Yes they did.
Do they have a MLF who regularly reports on football ? Yes they do. Do they have an ex safc striker on the local radio phone in ? Yes they do.

Are you taking the piss?

Oh and by the way, Jeff-the-wet isn't allowed to comment on football.

The point is though with the AJ case they were seriously pushing the possible culpability of the club as the main aspect of their story rather than the crime itself. Margaret Byrne was eventually hounded out by the sheer weight and number of these stories in the media generally. The BBC must have known there was no real story there once the question was answered, or not one that justified constantly raising it anyway, but they really hammered away at it.

Someone was culpable though as AJ said in court the club knew he had kissed and groomed the girl in the first meeting. Byrne left fair enough but for the club to make out she was the ONLY one who knew I many other SAFC fans and general public find hard to believe. Anyway I'm just going to agree to disagree.

Yeah I didn't want to re-open the whole who-knew-what argument but the point was the BBC really went for it on every sport and news bulletin, local and national.
