The Local Media

Well it was a f***ing poor excuse for an article of that is what it was trying to be. Roker report is basically a bunch of sunderland fans writing whimsically about their feelings supporting sunderland. It's a blog.

I seem to remember that Lee Ryder used to write a column called blog on the tyne as well, in fairness - which is acknowledging that he's a pretty f***ing terrible journalist if nothing else.

(If it wasn't him then it should have been...)

I appreciate them. They are independent, and ask pertinent questions. They are a breath of fresh imo. Similar to how I used to think of ALS, although appreciate ALS have had to adapt over time.

They can ask what they like - I'm saying they won't get an on the record response. I'm not sure there are any local journalists with the ability/range of contacts to get answers the old-fashioned way.
Yes, I agree understand that and wasn't having a pop at anyone. A journalist can still run a piece that questions decisions, without being speculative. As said before, the Chronicle have questioned Ashley numerous times. They were quick to round on him in the summer and have done nothing but celebrate since his departure started looking likely.

The chronicle seem more in tune with our fans than the echo does
Not sure I agree with that. James Hunter went with "careful what you wish for" when people wanted Moyes out, then became apparent that he wouldn't have been sacked. Only the other week he suggested that the atmosphere at home games means the players face a battle.

Friggin hell for all his faults Larry's an improvement on Moyes.

The Chronicle does a better job than the Echo at keeping the club to account. It's ridiculous and embarrassing.

This.

Don't agree with this at all. James Hunter is up there with the worst journalists that have ever reported on SAFC in my opinion. He point blank refuses to criticise anything about the club and the less said about his staunch defensive of Moyes the better.

Aye this.

If anyone batted an eyelid, his position on Moyes could have seriously buggered his standing as long serving local journalist.

No one enjoys a lecture. Le

He was so blinkered when it came to Moyes it was unreal. Honestly wanted to chuck my phone out the window when he was on Wise Men Say after the West Ham game last season when Khazri scored and played a blinder. So ridiculously petty and argumentative

Don't really seem to care about our predicament at the moment.

Imagine the chronicle's reaction if the mags were in the same position, with a manager in charge who had mustered one win as we enter mid October.

The echo on the otherhand are choosing to publish an article focusing on Holloway's backing of Grayson. It beggars belief.

If this was happening to the filth they'd be going f***ing bonkers. We have always been too uber for our own good.

Also factor in the Sunderland Echo is a joke now, and printed in Sheffield.

Most local papers will be online only in 10 years i reckon, printed medias coming to an end.
