The lie about Capello playing the youth

This was a friendly to play a whole new team but still too many of the same old tired faces. I just don't buy this stuff that he didn't change enough.

This is the German team that started against Sweden tonight:

Adler - Boateng, Westermann , Hummels, Schmelzer, Khedira, Schweinsteiger, Großkreutz, Holtby, Marin, Gomez

Six of them are 22 or younger and only three first-team regulars. The six subs he brought on included three more guys under 22, and two who were 23.

That is the type of age group England need to be putting out for these games.

While ever you have the media and the fans wetting their pants because Beckham or Gerrard have clocked up a particular number of caps this will never happen ... the Germans are only interested in winning, we're not.

As long as you have wet and lame people in the England set-up, like Brooking, we'll simply limp along like a drunken tramp.

Behave you Greedminds wannabe, Beckham would have made the rest of the team go for a win, and if they couldn't raise their game he would have done it himself.

Missing the point completely.

For too long now, England have relied on those of the seemingly 'golden' age. It's about time Capello turned round to Ferdinand, Gerrard, Lampard, etc. and said sorry but you've had your chance.

Rooney is still young enough to merit inclusion, and arguably Ashley Cole too, but the rest should be seen off and youth embraced.

I think it's you that's missed the point completely, i was taking the piss.
Jordan is an attacking midfielder that can pass and deliver , why the fuck would you play him in an anchor role or defensive midfield?

Fair enough then.

But yes you're right. The only logical answer? So he could accommodate Gerrard.

How the fuck he got MOTM tonight is beyond me, by the way.

This is first time we've done this, Germany have been blooding their young'ns for a while now.

We have some decent young players in England but it's going to take time for them all to climatise to international football.

Can anyone put forward an argument as to why he chose to play Jagielka at full back?

He's useless, and would still get enough money for enough time to buy a small island if he played Des O'Connor at full back.

Will that do?

This is f***ing brilliant 'Arguably Ashley Cole'. Don't get me wrong, I hate the little ****, but he's probably the best left back in the world by some margin.

I meant youthwise, but yes arguably was a daft thing to say, of course he should be in there.
