The lap of appreciation

Lets look on the bright side..
Unless Wigan beat Arsenal next week, Sunderland live to fight another day.
You cant rule out Arsenal dropping a clanger, just like City did, but if Wenger has done his homework he`ll have figured out how to put 2 or 3 past the Wigan side, who are bound to be weary after that cup final triumph against Man City.
Di Canio deserves his chance at a fresh start next season....good job they had that purple patch when they beat Newcastle recently.
Its a dog eat dog league, so we`ll see where things finish.

Fair point, Checkers.

Would have been much bigger statement if the fans had left.

In the end some of those players will still hold the belief that they are adored as fans stayed behind to clap them..... The players are gutless cowards frankly. They can fuck off.

To be honest Im suprised some of these players had enough energy or commitment to complete a full lap. After all it would be a damn site more distance than they covered in the match.
They were a total discgrace today and were played off the park by a team 1pt ahead of us. We were hanging for a point in a must win game.
PDC has dome an incredible job to achieve 8 pts from this squad and deserves great credit if he, or should I say Aresenal keep us up, as should Ellis Short for having the guts to appoint him despite national media pressure. MON is a nice guy but he left us with a woefully short squad and spent a lot of money in the process and in my opinion must take a lot of the blame along with the bulk of this squad who have continually produced performances like today.
If we stay up it'll be Swansea or Arsenal who deserve the lap of honour at SOL, not this lot!

Good post.

It's the worst one ive seen in a while. Everyone had fucked off by the time the players had come back on. I was expecting something from paolo but he let me down

That's me season card cancelled

I even remember staying for the 15 point season after Fulham and the players were given a decent send off (we had just won our first home game of the season) but I just couldn't be arsed with the players today after that performance.

The photo I saw showed the stadium about a third full and quite a few of those seemed to be people on stairwells waiting to get out. I was out before the players came back out.

There was more than 2/3 had gone by the time I got out. The tannoy bloke sounded like he was begging people to stay.

The club should have just quietly scrapped the whole thing, the end of match bit on the pitch more than sufficed. Coming back out was a stupid idea and the people around me were amazed the club were doing it.

I can imagine when the season is over the players will get enough shit from the people in charge.

I left at the final whistle, if the players had actually put in effort, commitment and played with some heart, i'd have stayed... maybe. They are not just poor excuses for footballers, they are poor excuses for men.

Fuck almost every one of them. To think what they suck out of the club in money as well. Absolutely shocking.

And to those like Doberman giving stick, see above. I stayed for the 15 pointers as I could see they tried but just weren't good enough. But these guys...
