My first time in the Fulwell End was v Wrexham in the FA Cup 1976-77 season.. and I heard the famous words in the cage "Sammy is our leader".

Thanks for the memories Big Man, RIP.

I saw him in Victor's (Lambton Worm) before a home game about a month ago.

RIP Sammy, a true character.

Late 60s outside the Leazes,Celtic held a few of them at bay with a pop gun which looked quite real.
This was the game RK and co were in tbe Leazes
