The impact on ST renewals

He was talking about a loan to cover running costs within weeks of taking over the club. No coincidence that it was for a similar amount imo. If that's the case why not just hold your hands up and be honest instead of saying that they're going to invest in scouting system and the accedemy.
It's an easy cop out because 99% of the fanbase wont see the accounting or academy set up.

Obviously this situation is absolutely dire. It's the lowest of the low.

Final ST payment forthcoming, anyone binning it off and therefore their ST?

Or is anyone, for the first time, seriously contemplating not renewing their ST next year ?

I won’t be renewing under any circumstances. FPP could come in and buy the league next year but I have no desire to spend any more Saturdays watching league one plodders

I can understand it, and I'm nervous about the damage it will do. Every 1,000 off the gate knocks about £400k off the revenue, and £240k off the wages cap.

So our wage cap would be 2.4m less if we drop down the rumoured figure (13k) we had before the takeover?

I’ll pay the last instalment and that’s my lot.

I’ll stop giving the club money like I did under Short, no more.

Thanks Donald.

I’ll pay the last instalment but definitely won’t be renewing if Donald is still here. 8 people in my family are the same.

Add two more here. I'll pay what I owe for this season but I'll go on a match by match basis next year. That might be all of them or none of them but I'm not committing £1400 to watch that shite again.

Based on the customer feedback I'm hearing they currently need to revise their 20/21 income forecasts down by your figures x at least 6-7,000 possibly 10,000 if they have a pessimistic version of the model..

If people want to walk away then fair enough, but they need to know the damage it will do.

it takes a lot for fans to have this reaction imo, any damage done is solely down to owners. They are taking fans for granted (or for idiots) and have made mistake after mistake.

fans have been outstanding imo while we’ve been dropping through the leagues, they backed new owners and increased season tickets. Fans will only take so much though

I’m not renewing, neither is my dad

I was going to get my son one next season but I don’t want to put him off

it’s about time the fans as a collective did something about this. The season is over now in terms of promotion, I’m more worried about relegation. Next home game we should stay downstairs for the first ten minutes. Make them see what playing in an empty stadium is going to be like. Or stand in silence like those Swedes did.

It's a little unfair preaching the club need the money imo. We live in an area with little disposable income and at a time that the cost of living is high. The cost of a family of four going to the match could be a chunk towards the family holiday or saving for Christmas. People are perfectly entitled to look after themselves before SAFC.

Had my ST since 92. I dropped it for half a season after the 15 point mess but ended up buying a half season that year as I was spending more going to every game. I'm thinking about dropping it again cos it's absolutely dire but it'll flip at some point in the near future and then I'll want to go again. Dunno how or when but it will. The thing is the more that give it up, the more risk there is of serious financial meltdown.

Having had a Season Ticket from the early 60's when my Dad bought me one for the Roker End, habit, loyalty, tribalism - whatever, I renewed again last season to protect my Loyalty Points but attended no Home Games; I renewed again for this Season but I have not attended any Home Games yet. Not going to Home Games has meant I can spend more time with my Grand Daughter instead of driving 600+ miles from Kent to the SOL and back to watch utter garbage (I do go to see a few Away Games nearer home).

Depending what happens between now and Season End will dictate whether I renew for 2020-2021 - a battle between Heart and Head again but the Head looks like winning at the moment.

I think we'll be down to around 15k next season. It'll be the proper hardcore. I think such crowds would very likely see the closure of the academy and numerous redundancies. Sad, sad times.

He needs to be actively searching for a new buyer and he needs to have a realistic price. Once you've lost the support like this there's very rarely any turning back.

Think it might have been Lazio fans in the big Curva Nord end behind the goal that stood in total silence when their team scored. Well organised I'll give them that, we'd need to score for the protest to work so we can rule it out.
