The impact on ST renewals

Last Roll of the dice for Donald in January.Hes going to stick with Parkinson and give him a bit to spend.Hopefully it works,if it doesn’t then we will fall even further and hopefully FPP are waiting in the shadows ready to pounce.
I’ll not hold my breath like .

The one thought that always comes to me when I read threads/posts like this one is the subject of Loyalty points......if you don't renew, you lose your points.

If you're SC holder with say 10 points, then you've lost nothing. But if your an uber with 70, 80, 90 or well over 100 points you'd lose the lot and have to start all over again.
I thought that they stay on your account, but you just can't accumulate them or get the priority that an ST holder gets?

My god, it’s a depressing read this thread, personally I will renew.
Safc if for life not just for beating the mags and the good times.
Problem is they are close to destroyIng the club - it’s easy to see us headIng towards where Bolton were at the start of this season. When people running the club are taking the pee out of paying supporters you can understand people not renewing.

What happens if you cancel your direct debit, do you just lose your season card, there’s no financial implications like them chasing you for the rest of the money ?
Am sure the finance company will chase for the money as it's a loan agreement....just like my son passing his driving test and he was paying insurance monthly, he cancelled it because he passed and then got hit with penalty for cancelling early

If I was you I’d pay by direct debit. If we go bust then at least you won’t have tipped all your hard earned cash 8nto the pot to pay all the corporate creditors.

I'll do things my way. I have as few DDs as possible. Particularly with utilities, where I end up as the corporate creditor.

I maybe wrong (usually am:D), but I thought you'd lose all points if you don't renew.

Happy to be proven wrong by more clued up MLFs on the forum.

We all know what will happen. There'll be another false dawn, we all get sucked in and then kicked in the bollocks a few month later. Rinse and repeat.

If people want rid of Donald, the only way to do it is to withhold money. Yes the club will end up in dire straits, but he won’t be able to keep it going.

In fact, Administration with him running the show is much nearer than it was ever with Ellis Short. Club could well go under if the Americans lost interest (I don’t think they will fwiw).

My nephew had about 30 points a few year back. He moved away and couldn't commit due to work and having a young family. He was on my friends and family thing on the online site and his points still showed against his name, but it wouldn't let me buy a ticket during the ST phases. This was a while ago now so it might have changed.

This sounds right. As I understand it, the qualification for any phase is to be both a season ticket holder and have enough points for the phase. Pack in your ST, and, irrespective of the points, you go to the back of the queue. In a way, it's just a bit of semantics between you and @KENT-FTM - the effect is the same as if you'd lost the points. The only difference I could see it making would be if you renewed in a future season; presumably any points left on the account would become active again.

Club need the money more than ever. Despite being bored out of my mind every home game, I'll not be turning my back on them now.
This is it for me. I am bored senseless at games (aside from the crack on with my mates). However, I cant stop getting my season ticket as the club could be in a.serious financial mess if everyone jumps ship. I'd rather be part of an organised protest rather than stopping going through apathy

It is really sad to read this thread mind. Next season will be horrific if they both stays (Parkinson and donald).

Will be chucking my season tickets in at the end of the season, will be hard enough going to the rest of this seasons games unless something changes!

Looking more and more likely. The money will just be absorbed into costs I reckon.
He was talking about a loan to cover running costs within weeks of taking over the club. No coincidence that it was for a similar amount imo. If that's the case why not just hold your hands up and be honest instead of saying that they're going to invest in scouting system and the accedemy.
