He can afford it.
Does unemployed bloke from Detroit get the same service?
Are you saying he couldn’t get the same treatment in his own country??
Top end medical care in the US is clearly very good. If you’re rich.
I don’t like the idea that if you’re rich you get great healthcare, and poor you get fuck all. It’s that simple for me
Just my opinion mate. The more i read hear by them, the more rotten they become. they have divided and ruined any working class solidarity that we may have had for thier own benefit.
Sorry mate, I'm only fifty. I can't remember this working class solidarity
But we should be. The early labour unionists, the NHS, health and safety at work act etc.. these would never exist in a Tory ideal
Genuine question, if you found yourself in financial difficulties, through no fault of your own, and was unable to pay the insurance, what would you do? Say for instance you developed an illness that needed ongoing treatment?
Who are all these poor people who get fuck all? I just posted a link that it’s against the law to deny emergency room service...that people go there all the time for non emergency issues because they know they’ll get service. They get the same service I would assume you get...but they still wouldn’t be waiting for weeks. Private healthcare is better than public healthcare. You know things like private rooms, food, etc...you get what you pay for...
Obama fucked up our Healthcare...deductibles went through the roof. You could no longer get a healthcare plan that you liked...you had to pay for the one government said you had to have...so you have a single guy, 65 yrs old, no kids paying for pediatrics and prenatal care. $5000 deductibles....
Ok so educate me. What about cancer treatment? Or heart surgery? You all get that too?
I would probably qualify for some kind of assistance.
Are you saying in the States we just let people die?
I'm not sure that is why I am asking. 'Probably qualifying for assistance ' doesn't really fill me with confidence.
You do realise that Private Healtcare is massively popular in the U.K to those who can afford it ?
You don't seem very sure about anything outside your own experience.
My mom just died of cancer...she had great care. She had a private room while in Hospice. She didn’t want to die there though so she came home and had a nurse...my dad didn’t pay squat.
Sorry, I don’t have an illness that needs treatment, so I’m not in the know about all your questions.
Sorry to hear that
Is that because she had insurance?
Sorry, I’ll get an illness and get back to you...right now I have private insurance through work. I have 5 kids and paid squat. My wife and kids get seen right away... no wait.
For people without insurance, there’s a ton of gov services or people just go to the emergency room for everything.
No, she had Medicaid. The cancer was just too aggressive. She went to a great cancer facility. She was also in her late 70’s...her body just broke down from the chemo...
Ok. I won’t argue the topic with you anymore anyway. Sorry for your loss
I did it one night. Horrible. How anyone can criticise those who's way of life it is is beyond me. Very sad
No worries from me...I guess it’s all what you’re used to...
I asked everyone in my office and not one person would pick Gov Healthcare...
Fair enough. Interesting that we all probably have ingrained cultural differences / biases. I'd still put our system of providing good quality healthcare for all ahead of your economically stratified system.
Really? You have to work really hard to be poor in America...
We have the fattest poor people in the world, who walk around on cell phones and $100 sneakers...it’s a joke!
Dare I say some people with savings of £150 could be down to themselves in some cases and is not always somebody’s else’s fault
