back in the 80's we were in Porec, and did the day trip to Venice. It was about 36 degrees, the ship we took had a pool so after sweating on deck for a while I dived in expecting a cool refreshing dip. Wrong! The metal hull acted as a giant saucepan, and it was like diving into a pan of hot water, bloody awful. However the bottles of beer were about 20p , and freezing cold, which made the trip a bit more pleasant. Venice however, was a tip.
 


Friday - got back early in the morning after a Lea Salonga concert in York. Fantastic show @The Lonious Monk with lots of Filipinas in attendance.
Lazy day watching whatever footy was on the box.
Saturday - chasing around to try to get A/C gas for the car. Mine takes the 'new' expensive stuff.
Today - Premier Inn brekkie. Went to see the tribute bands at Seaham Show/Festival.
 
Amazing 40's Weekend in Leyburn.
I'm always fascinated by the hundreds of people who dress up to make this such a popular event.
Had to laugh at the camouflaged sniper who was wandering about.
All good stuff!
