There's a definite problem with support for the striker whoever has played this season - yes. Wyke has very little in the way of technical ability and seemingly next to no composure when presented with an opportunity. He's just not very good, we won't get promoted with him as a regular striker.
I honestly think he would be okay if we could play 2 up front and had a midfield that can play a decent ball in and get up to support. Unfortunately we aren’t likely to be in a position to bring another striker in anyway.

What a state we are in. Could honestly be like this for years.
Been like this for the last 10, won't change until we keep a manager for 3-4 years, OR we have a director of football that we keep for 5+years.

Although, I'll admit, I'm not convinced this is the manage to keep - but its not an easy call either way imo

Squad needs overhauling AGAIN. Some pace, power and youth needed.

Love Catts but his time here is over. Other than McLaughlin, McGeady and 09 I'd lose nee sleep over the other leaving.
& O9 has to move to midfield too. Hate to say it, but he's not great defensively.

Despite the calls for a mass clear out I can’t see many leaving this summer.

The club will push hard to offload Oviedo, Kone, and they’d certainly move on Cattermole if an offer came in to get him off the books.

Given he’s got a while left on his contract I can’t see Catts leaving.

Donald Love and Adam Matthews will leave and Dunne, Sterling and probably Morgan we won’t see again, although it wouldn’t surprise me if Ross didn’t try and bring Morgan back next season.

The rest were bought on two year deals with the intention of getting out of League 1 within that time frame and they’ll be here next season for another go.

Hopefully the wages saved on the few we move and, together with some sensible recruitment provides Ross with a good enough group to go up automatically next season.

Only one I’d be arsed about is the keeper.
The rest can get to fuck.

We don't need wholesale changes to get out of this league, but what we do need is Wyke to move on definitely, possibly Grigg, and buy two centre forwards who can score goals at this level. That will comfortably be enough to get us out this league. Without any shadow of a doubt.

We don’t need wholesale changes and I don’t think we have many players who are in demand so we won’t see loads leaving.

The out of contract players such and Ruiter and Matthews will leave and we’ll move on high earners such as Oviedo and Catts if the opportunity is there.

We need a stronger, physical centre half so we’ll have to move someone on. Ideally Loovens.

The midfield needs more pace and power to get a better balance. I don’t rate Power so i’d happily see him leave as well as Cattermole if anyone will pay his wages.

Wyke is a trier but he’s not very good. I just can’t see anyone coming in for him unless we write off the fee.

Who would want any of our defenders? We desperately need 2 half decent centre halves which would leave us with 6 (4 of whom are utter shite). We're also chock full of defensive midfielders when we only really need to play one at this level.
We'll likely have yet another bloated, unmotivated squad. Can't wait.

Who would seriously want Wyke? His goalscoring record for us is laughable and he'll likely be on canny money.
Loovens? I doubt a non league club would even be tempted, if he played for nowt.

Season over so onto the next. Need to build a side that can win games & that can step up into the higher league. If we had went up this year, looking at the current personnel, we would struggle.

For me I'd get rid of the players that I wouldn't have even as squad players in the championship so

Flanagan
Baldwin
Ozturk
Loovens (out of contract anyways)
Matthews (out of contract anyways)
Honeyman

Also wouldn't resign Sterling, Morgan or Dunne on loan

+Wyke

Was talking to a Wednesday fan yesterday on the tube. He assumed Loovens was injured, reckoned he'd still be championship quality if fit. Shows how quickly someone's legs can go from last season to this. Sounds as though we were a bit unlucky with him. Hopefully he'll retire or get a chance coaching somewhere. That'd leave us with three centre halves good enough to provide cover or possibly be partner to a really good one.

Roughly 7 players needed there I think. Think we could use the loan market much better this year as some of the other sides have done, and get a couple of them from there. Hopefully could then focus money on the other positions.
