The future and the loan players

How much does everyone reckon it would cost to sign the loan players permanently, or replace them with players of similar quality?

Are we likely to have the money to sign them all permanently?

Would you want to sign them all permanently?

If we could afford to sign them all, would we still have the money to go above and beyond that and make further signings to improve the team?

Its a strange situation, having a young squad but so many first teamers on loan. Is the future bright because we have a young squad, or not so bright because so many of them aren't ours, and it would presumably cost a lot of money just to 'stand still'.

I suppose it all depends on how generous uncle Ellis is feeling, and he'll probably feel more generous the better we do.

Elmo will be 2mil, which will be a snip once he adjusts to the Premier League.

Onuoha we should sign and Man City might be more willing to let him go for a better price if Alves signs for them in Jan.

Fergie was apparently happy to sell Welbeck in the summer but we thought the price was too high, so he might still be sold.

Mensah we should just keep loaning until his contract runs out at Lyon.

Because lyon won't mind that....

We are paying fees to loan him and no-one is going to pay a big fee for him because of his injury problems. As long as he wants to stay here than it should be possible. It also depends how long he has left on his Lyon contract, if there is just one after the end of this season, then we might be able to sign him permanently for the price of the loan fee.

There will be someone willing to pay more than a loan fee to get him. Althoguh im pretty sure after a certain amount of games played in the loan there will be a clause triggered in which we will have to buy him. Probably 20-30.

We wont be paying a loan fee of more than a million, and there will definatley be a club willing to pay atleast 4 million for him. If it does go to the last year of his contract i expect he will be put up for sale to the highest bidder rather than be loaned out again.

25. We've basically bought him if he makes 25 starts this season (or maybe league appearances or all appearances?) is how I understood it.

Elmo will be about £2m i think, and has pretty much been agreed already.

Onouha i reckon will be about £6m.

Wellbeck i reckon will be about £7m

Mensah, there was something agreed where if he plays x amount of games the loan becomes a perminant deal, but i can't see that happening now.
Sure it was £4m for him, with a £300,000 loan fee and a £3.7m lump sum at the end if we sign him. Which I don't think we will now.
The pace or whatever of the PL seems to much for him, so i reckon he'll go to some slower paced league and do well. He showed at the World Cup he can play regular games, but the PL looks to be too much for him. Sure he'll have a few teams after him, just not in England.

Onouha id like to sign, solid player, good lad, good attitude, alot will depend on who the Man City manager is then, if he has a good season then id expect them to be asking 10m with us paying £7-£8m,

Welbeck - i cant see Man Utd selling him for £7m, id be surprised if he is sold. Wont be too disappointed if thats the case, Fraizier was in great form until the injury, hopefully he`ll have a good summer and get back to where he was.
