700-800Hopefully get some decent bands in there.
Capacity about 2,000 isn’t it?
St. Etienne at The Fire Station (19 Nov 2021)November 19th venue to be confirmed shortly
I'm glad they haven't done this like. Been done loads in the past at various venues and its the same bands every time.Strange choice to open the venue?
I'd have thought they'd have put loads of local artists on for the first gig?
How you get tickets ? Is there a website ?I'm hearing St Etienne are the first band booked for the new auditorium, November I think... Hopefully the start of many
I think it's a fantastic choice. Arty and poppy. Attract an older crowd. There instead of Sage.Strange choice to open the venue?

Good point.I'm glad they haven't done this like. Been done loads in the past at various venues and its the same bands every time.
It would also be nice to be there for their opening gig.I think it's a fantastic choice. Arty and poppy. Attract an older crowd. There instead of Sage.
It's a band I might see anyway at the Sage, so will be brilliant to have a chance to go out in Sunderland and go and see a band.It would also be nice to be there for their opening gig.
I really wouldn't be enthused about having local bands foisted on me. If they're good enough they'll make it to larger venues eventually.
Good size for comedians that don't do arenas.Would love to see Jack Dee on there like. Might send him a message to get it booked up for his next tour.
Aye, think it was about 450 all seated or 750 if they shifted the seats out.700-800
Its a Sunderland thing which happened when we were peddling our wares in the 90s ,loads of bands on ,so you get 30 band members in the crowd with their lasses and a hardcore of local punters who give a shiteI'm glad they haven't done this like. Been done loads in the past at various venues and its the same bands every time.
