I think it's a fantastic choice. Arty and poppy. Attract an older crowd. There instead of Sage.

What they should try and do is have a weeks worth of gigs on for its opening. Mix of bands, comedy, plays etc something for everyone

I really wouldn't be enthused about having local bands foisted on me. If they're good enough they'll make it to larger venues eventually.

It's a band I might see anyway at the Sage, so will be brilliant to have a chance to go out in Sunderland and go and see a band.

Its a Sunderland thing which happened when we were peddling our wares in the 90s ,loads of bands on ,so you get 30 band members in the crowd with their lasses and a hardcore of local punters who give a shite

class choice Saint Ettiene like. proper band and should announce the venue well and truly onto the circuit beyond the north east.
