The final straw..

Had a conversation with Maximus on Satda about "meltdown" type things.

I suggested it doesn't feel as bad as when being relegated to Div 3 ..... we both agreed what a fucken party the whole following season was. By far my favourite ( for awaydays).

That's it for me. We must be the laughing stock of football with Lescott signing to join the other ex Everton players. What does Moyes think a player who was released by Aston VIlla and had his contract terminated by some Greek club after 4 months can possibly do for our club?
I have been a season ticket holder for 50 plus years and seen numerous debacles from this club.......BUT never anything like this, throwing in the towel, going down without a fight.
I will not be attending any more matches until Moyes and Short leave our club.
HA'WAY THE LADS( I doubt whether many of the present squad know what it means)

Only standing up for what's right, the line must be drawn somewhere some supporters have done it before you, but when a long term supporter like you says enough s enough, then for this poster it say's its a reaction to the times the club is going threw, plenty did the same under murray, some didn't return some did, but they took a stand, and were proven right in the end.. much respect

We need bodies through the door, same as when Harper came last year. Better than being left short (pun intended).

Give your head a shake man.

Why can't we get a 34 year old footballer to the top of his fitness ?, confidence would be a major factor with villa last season, better than nothing....

True! I know and have worked with lots of lads that were Sunderland daft, only to be sickened and never to return, what a stupid f***ing club, pissing fans off and biting the very hands that feeds them, the pot isn't bottomless, I wonder how many young kids have thought! Na, not for me this and looked elsewhere, talk about pissing on your own chips, SAFC excel at talking it's support for granted.

That's modern football mate, we're still the same people.

The celebrations when we beat Chelsea were twice what they managed when they won the league.

It's people like you that keep me going so don't pack it ...... promise?

The problem is have we ever been so much in debt?

While Short has responsibity and is facing the losses, Moyes is the victim of 10 years of mismanagement. With 13 players out for different reasons, what can we expect from him?

It is a shit time - but we will come through.

Darby and joan for you then......byeee

Needs to be a protest arranged against Ellis Short, I know Newcastle did it and it got Ashley of his arse to sort it out and do something. Short has sat back and watched from afar, he does not go to games and not bothered what happens. I'm quite surprised at how easy he has got it from the fans, there really hasn't been strong support in the stands for Ellis Short to go. As for not going back to the matches I don't blame you, save your money.
Meet haway at the murray gates.......dont forget your soiled bedsheet.

Tell Ellis it won't be long before the fans do turn on him.

I know the same kind of people, sometimes its only doing what said person feels is right, and right now i don't blame one supporter who doesn't go back, its there money at the end of day, and if the club starts treating supporters like customers that is what they will become, as a taxi driver once said to me after a night out, and at the moment i wonder, do fans feel that the club just expects them to take whatever is given and live with it, in this day and age there are plenty other things to do on a weekend, some follow non league others go to the pictures or out with the wife, or have hobbies.

Those who walked under murray know all about this, we are at the same point now, where fans will go, and we will lose another generation to other clubs that can offer better, be that the top clubs or our enemys up the road..

its quite clear to me, the club must learn from its own history or it is doomed to repeat it... simple as that

The OP has been a season tkt holder for fifty years. He is entitled to some respect and we should respect his decision, he won't have taken it lightly.

Fully agree, everyone deserves their own view & it should be respected. I have felt like it a few times in my 40+ years, & maybe I've given games a miss for a while, but "never" is a fucken long time!
Should add, my attendance goes up when things are shit, it just seems my support is more required & the lads that attend then are steely die hards & stick together.
