Brazil more than capable of getting a second but they need to commit. 4 mins left man, too late to try and stay balanced. Everyone up.
Would like to see France knocked out.
It doesn't' look like it will be tonight though.

Brazil are a better team imo, pound for pound. Just lack game management.
Both teams have largely flattered to deceive tonight.
I heard good things about this French team, pre tournament, but apart from a few very good individual performances, the team as a whole, have disappointed me.
The stand out teams for me, so far are Germany, USA, Italy and Norway.

In case you were wrong they could go on to score and VAR can check afterwards. Just like what happened there. If she flagged straight away it would've been 1-0 still.
There's actually no point at all in flagging after the ball has gone in the net, as happened for England's second, as all goals are checked for offside by VAR anyway, which is how the Cameroon offside was spotted despite being missed by the assistant.

no VAR and thats a goal. its VAR, its shite. it takes too long, its over used, the refs are watching super slow motion replays of things that happen at high speed. there is no way that this system can work well, impossible. its either VAR + shambles, or scrap it all together. theres no in between
It seems to work ok in cricket and rugby, it'll be fine in a couple of years when everybody knows they can't get away with cheating any more.

Also, all the decisions today ended up spot on, except for the red card at the end of our game.

Cameroon should be hauled in front of every fifa delegate and told that their actions have set the women's game back 10 years. Have the offside rule explained to them, tell them that their actions brought shame on the world Cup and ban them from the next 2 world cups. Show them replays from the game, show them how they treated steph Houghton and then show them the door. Hopefully they will leave the room in tears!

Woke up this morning to read a quote from Hope Solo that quite simply belittles the growth of the ‘women’s game’:

This Cameroon team, they don't have the resources. They don't have the quality coaching in their country, they don't have the experience like England or somebody like Phil Neville.
We have to try and understand that. Perhaps they weren't even told about the rules, the laws of the game and the evolution of the game. So your heart has to go out a little bit to this Cameroon side. They played with emotions and brought this emotion to the tournament.
As much as we want to see a little bit more class from Cameroon, they did bring that beautiful emotion and packed this entire stadium. You have to look at it both ways.”

If a male had said such a thing he would rightly have been pulled for it.
It is the last 16 of the World Cup....and she is suggesting that players don’t know basic “laws of the game” like the offside rule, for instance?
Patronising at best....
