The Euros

i can never understand how big organisations like eufa, are so shite at making decisions.

its clearly not a good idea to have squads, fans and all the entourage travelling internationally in June. you can see that now.

pick a country that has the least amount of infection rates and the most amount of vaccinations per capita (uk) and the most stadia and infrastructure ready at the drop of a hat to host the thing (uk), and get it booked. get some hotels booked for the squads and get the thing sorted for fucks sake.

no doubt they'll come up with some mad convoluted scheme which sees the movement of tens of thousands of people backwards and forwards across borders and through airports endless amounts of times, just to please some sponsor or dignitary

There is only one sensible option apart from sacking it off completely. However there is no way the rest of Europe will allow it to happen.

What's Israel like for stadiums? They're doing great with vaccinations, could probably play the whole thing there with full crowds.
Aye, the issue of stadia would be the only question over Israel, otherwise I'd happily see them have it. Suppose there'd be questions over the fact they've never hosted major football before so might be worries around that side with short notice.

Britain would be an obvious choice though. Plenty grounds, infrastructure, well used to hosting, the vast majority vaccinated before it starts, be able to have at least some fans at each game. Does seem better than keeping it in countries that are currently having a third wave tbh

i'd rather they cancelled it, than risk all those thousands of people travelling needlessly around europe and inevitably bringing some cases back to the uk, pushing our numbers up, and potentially giving us another lockdown headache in august when they've all fucked off.

Think they will play it with no crowds rather than cancel it

Your still talking about a lot of movement people back and forth across borders. can you imagine how many people are involved in each squad (players, coaches, etc..), then there'll be journalists from every country in the world, plus the staff of eufa trying to organise the whole thing, then the staff at each host stadium, then all of the eufa top brass who will somehow be needed in the ground on the day, and all of the sponsors who will have paid millions who will miraculously be allowed to be in the ground on the day, meaning more staff needed at the stadium, plus all the hotels and travelling around that all of those people will need other people to be there for to make it work.

if its not safe enough for fans to attend, then it should be in one country, properly behind closed doors. which we know it wont be. and if they are planning to still have it all over europe but without the fans, then its a massive 'fuck you' to all the normal people that will be adversely effected in the aftermath, whilst the millionaires all go back to their unspoiled millionaire lifestyles.

It'll go ahead and uefa have clarified that if they moved it abroad you'd be entitled to a refund. I've got 3 tickets for it as well but fully expecting to lose them mind, he's not going to open it fully sadly and even if there's 20000 it's a very low chance :(
21000 I believe mate

Not an option according to Ceferin

even without away fans. the whole entourage of a major football tournament travelling around from country to country, even without covid, must be a right fuck on and a logistical nightmare. doing it now with all this shit going on is a piss take.

it should be in one country. fans or no fans.

every single person coming into that country for the tournament should be tested up to the eyeballs. and if its behind closed doors, then thats exactly what it should mean. no sponsors, no families of players, no eufa dignitaries, no politicians and wealthy bastards, no catering laid on, no journalists. fuck all.

22k at Wembley, wonder how many go to corporate/sponsors etc... then how many they give to tickets sold through uefa ballot and then what goes to the estc
