I saw that, it says the countries met only on Wednesday and were still focused on the original format. They reckon they are already prepped to refund fans money but to refund the host cities would be a price too high.

I’m pretty sure I read someone from the government also denying it just the other day.

Knew I’d seen it somewhere, Hancock denying it.

Probably means it’s true then.

Rome has put a plan in place for 25 to 30 percent capacity for its four games

Best case scenario is UK may get some extra games from any of the cities unable to commit to hosting but zero chance the whole thing will be played here.

If it means tens of thousands of Europeans travelling here then I'd rather not host it, regardless of the potential boost to economy.

The risks would far outweigh any financial boost. However if this was not the case then fantastic let's get it hosted.
Would be crackers if they allowed people in for it. Surely they wouldn’t after all the lockdowns etc.

The Gellions

Well thats where you are wrong.

They all booked up the London hotels for the game the minute they qualified.

Thousands will travel regardless.

not sure if many will come down, restrictions by Herr Flick May still be in place, we are making a call in April, bin off the first two games and just hire a log cabin instead

Loads booked tho mate- so depends on what basis their reservation is on. Accom quickly went up to 200 ding a night like

Yeah , are u? 🤪

aye it went crackers, we have ended out by city airport, it’s free cancellation so nowts a bother.
The same for Glasgow, we usually get Mackintosh hotel for about £60, absolute no chance, ended up about £220 in the place on the outskirts.
Think it will get binned off and we will just end up staying at a pals mind

I had the Premier Inn Stevenage booked for the day before the final last year. Good base is that as u can either train it down or drive and park for nowt at the hotel.
Station in a 5 min walk away and u can get returns to KX which include the tube, so all good.

It wasn't wishful thinking as we had Eng v Australia ODI Tickets for the day before like.
