I think its great to see Rossi back playing and scoring goals. He was absolute quality at Villarreal and after two cruciate injuries you have to wonder what standard the player will return at if they return at all!

Hes made a great start for Fiorentina this season and long may it continue.

Some decent games/derbies today, Sofia, Prague, Donetsk, the smaller Belgrade derby and the Danish New firm.

Slavia Sofia vs Levski Sofia 13:15 (The 'big' Sofia derby is Levski-CSKA but slavia-Levski is still a good one)
OFK Belgrade vs RAD Belgrade 14:30
Brondby vs Kopenhagen 15:00
Zenit vs Spartak Moscow 15:30
Metalurh Donetsk vs Shaktar Donetsk 16:30
Rijeka vs Hajduk Split 18:00
Slavia Prague vs Sparta Prague 19:15
Legia Warsaw vs Slask Wroclaw 19:30

:lol::lol:

Some very decent derbies there mate, but I think you might have missed off the 1 that everyone will be watching. ;)

I hope Atletico tear them a new one. They've had an awesome start to the season!

I've been proven massively wrong by them so far this season. I think we had a bit of debate at the start of the season and I argued that they were also rans  but they look like they might push the top 2 a lot harder this year. I have a sneaky feeling they might win tonight.

If you were to look at the squad they don't have the kind of stand out names that Real have but they're a very well organised side who work hard off the ball and are very well drilled defensively. For me they have the best keeper in the league, too.

I think in the long run Real are obviously stronger but I'd love to see Atleti give them a run for their money like they did for a large part of last season.

Stand out names? Diego Costa has 7 in 6 games (and is the perfect man for Spain up front IMO), Koke's probably been the best midfielder in Spain so far this season apart from Isco, Courtois' the best keeper as you say.

Anyone that thinks 4-4-2 is dead should watch these, execute it to perfection with players that fit into the system. Really hope they can get it done tonight but just can't see it, got a fiver on Diego Costa 1-0 @ 95/1 just in case.

They have some very very good players, yes. I'm a big fan of Arda Turan as well, and well David Villa speaks for himself.

Look at that Real side though, on paper (I know) Atleti's doesn't compare.

Oh yeah, definitely agree. But then half of the Atletico players don't have the reputation they deserve. Filipe, partnership of Godin & Miranda, Koke & Gabi would get into most squads in the world. Still convinced there's not a better left back in the world than Filipe.

Arsenal & Liverpool had bids turned down for Turan in the Summer according to his agent, signed a new 5 year contract last week though which is good news. He's started this season a lot better than he was performing early 2013.

I think the main reason a lot of them go under the radar is because they aren't necessarily spectacular players but they're very effective at the job they do. Juanfran at RB another prime example of that. Simeone deserves a hell of a lot of credit, hes formed a very good unit from players that individually would probably be overlooked as class by most.

Quality goal from Messi vs Almeria!

5-0 win for Dortmund today at home to Freiburg and Bayern won 1-0, who were apparently very poor for large spells of the game and not for the first time under Guardiola.[DOUBLEPOST=1380392388][/DOUBLEPOST]In Serie A, Napoli have won 2-0 to go top until Roma play Bologna tomorrow.
