The Echo suggest this is perfect for a first time buyer

The captions are class. This cracked me up 😂

"Another bedroom, with the same windows. These are great for hot days, with plenty of air circulating"

Who'd have thought of opening the window on a hot day man!
My particular favorite was

Another view of the garden, with the garden bed showing great potential for you to grow your own plants or veg

I am so glad they pointed out what a garden is for

the average "sunderland" echo journalist, they no longer work in the region - would that be a fair guess?
It's now just house features, Sunderland pubs/clubs from the past and adverts and reviews (best BBQ, sleeping bags etc)

Is that today's starter home price? Hmm.
So you'd need maybe 10% for a deposit, 22.5k.
You'd need to be earning around 45 to 50k to get a mortgage for the other 200k. That isn't in any way a starter home for the average person. So what a strange article to print.
They appear to be a smidge out of touch like. Ye right tho, the whole article is just bizarre.

Double doors give easy access to the garden. Like a single door wouldn't.
You must be a canny size if a single door isn't adequate and you need a double door to squeeze through.

Just had a quick check and that would leave £200k which is £1000 per month for 25 years.

Click on the writer profile and it's written by an SEO person...so probably an attempt to get that godforsaken website to rank for some keyword or other to generate a bit more advertising revenue for any unsuspecting visitor. I've yet to see a single local news website that isn't a f***ing awful ambush of pop-ups and scroll interrupting ads.

That would be roughly the wage without any current credit agreements too

judging by their facebook page they might as well be an estate agent, they're constantly sharing houses that are for sale.
Genuinely wonder if they're on commission for traffic/clicks to the estate agents to make up for the fact no one buys the paper anymore
