Who? The British Army, the CIA? innocent people always get hurt in wars and conflict, its why Socialists do every thing they can to avoid them in the first place
You were the one linking terrorists/ freedom fighters with miners not me.You clearly seem to have an agenda and now it looks like you have an issue with the British army for some reason?

Then shortly taken over by shipbuilders.

But still not a political club with any political aims or affiliations. It's just a normal football club, open to all, that happens to be based in a city where the majority are left wing. Not everything in the world has to be left wing or right, it's just a football club and tbh I like it that way, there's enough politics in the rest of the world without bringing it into football as well.

none of your business
But your argument about validity of opinion was based on number of games and experience watching SAFC. You felt that at your age you had more valid opinions than me. If you can't tell me how old you are you rather lose credibility.

It gained rights for miners and maybe a few spin offs but anyone thinking it was for the good of other workers throughout the country needs to revisit their history...the miners were only concerned about one thing, the miners.

Don't forget three ladders & two boilers together with the £400 a month living expenses claims, Hetherington.

Because of weak government and blackmailing the Labour party.

You are completely wrong bonny lad. The struggle across the century benefited all workers. Weekends, statutory holidays, sick pay. This wasn't given willingly by governments until Labour gained power.

Well that was a non event, put the flags away again lads.
Theres a far more important thing going on at SOL

This. Not sure how I ended up insulting you on this subject the other day but I retract it fully and offer my apologies.
You called me an “im alright Jack “ Scab. Now given you know more about my background, coupled with the fact I never have and never would cross a picket line , I’m sure you could understand how being called a scab could really piss someone off.
Apology accepted.

*Miners parade

I'll be making sure that I arrive at the stadium when the feckers have finished. The brass neck, after the way they went on about Di Canio...

Fuck off. Wanksplat.

I love my working class roots, however the labour party ( for now ) have turned their backs on us...

What's that got to do with the DMA/NUM?

The banners are political for fucks sake.

Don't be an arsehole all your life. The DMA/NUM has played a pivotal role in the lives of working people in County Durham.

It wasn't a criticism man! I was responding to him saying that politics should be kept out of it.

I fully supported the miners during the last strike marra to the tune of a hundred pounds or so on a weekly basis from my pittance of a wage at that time, that I, could barely afford along with food donations but trying to take down a democratically elected government and to be the paymaster of other, past, Labour governments does not and will not never sit easy with me.

Have a very, very close look at all of the DUM officials and more latterly the MP's expenses who were former miners. You may just have your eyes opened.
