Their first 2 albums are my favourite. Dr feelgood is my 3rd, but my point still stands - they were inspired by getting sober for Dr feelgood and it was all downhill from there.

Downhill after Dr Feelgood I agree, it’s a great album imo.

It inspired Jason Hetfield to make a well produced album so it gets extra points for that in my book!

Too Fast for Love 1981 - it was a genuinely innovative album with a rough and ragged edge.

Everything else they've ever done has been flawed in some way and doesn't stand up to comparison.

By their 5th album, which I find very listenable by the way, the production becomes everything and that's not right.
 
Gave it a go - found it fantastic late night had-a-few-tins material

Inspired me to drop my guitars down to D for the weekend. Did not inspire me to snort ants :lol::lol::lol:
