The Cult

Is Matt Sorum in the band still?
Nah they’ve had this little bloke named John Tempesta for ages.

He’s a decent drummer - nee Nigel Preston - But daft arse Astbury won’t give him a riser so live his drums never cut through the sound the way you want them to.

just the 33 years or so since I last saw them play live

they were good tho :)
Was that at Tiffany`s on the Dreamtime tour by any chance???

Loved his tribal drumming style. Never quite the same when he left.

I was there at the Dreamtime tour.
Mick did you ask me for the bootleg?
Did I ever send it?

Preston was class like. So were Brzezicki and Sorum anarl.

Brzezicki is a great drummer. Saw him a few months ago with Big Country and he`s still class.

I did @Tex thanks. You haven`t sent it though, it`d be great if you could.

Never been a conducive environment for drummers or bass players tbf

Saw them on just about every tour until the last few years. Maybe twenty times. I think the last one I saw was the Electric re-do tour.

Canny turn and Billy Duffy is one of my all time favourite guitarists but Astbury is a spent force these days.

I’ve seen them with you and I share your sentiment. Duffy is the man.
