Planes are as bad. I was looking at flying from South America to Australia. Taking even the cheapest price it was cheaper to fly from South America to Europe and then from Europe to Australia.

South America is the pits for flights. Even domestic is extortionate.

Megabus is just as quick as the train if you're going to Sunderland, not an overly pleasant experience but a fraction of the price.

I spent my whole time as a student using them to get back for the match. They never turn up on time, sometimes 2-3 hours late. No leg room unless you are a midget. And full of stinking weirdos.

I'll pay my £40 and moan about it.

The main reason I tend not to use it.

Last time I got it to/from the match it was on time both ways so maybe I was lucky.
