The club already know Sam has gone

Do we really think the club would push Allardyce out and have to pay compensation? When we'd be getting compo when/if the FA approach us
Yes, I think risking £100m end of the season is much worse than losing few million in compensation, if that.

you wouldn't give Sam the money if he was leaving would you. You'd give it to the new man.
Yes I think that's why transfers have been on hold, my only worry is everything getting turned upside down now, new system, training methods, new transfer targets. All this should have been done ages ago, dragged on to long.

Maybe a smart lawyer could demonstrate because of the state of limbo Allardyce has left the club in ( unable to proceed with transfers, pre season training etc ) then he is not meeting terms of his contract ie is in breach therefore could be terminated.
All hypothetical of course. Still don't know what is transpiring

I'm convinced the club already know Sam has agreed to take over as England manager but have asked the FA not to announce it until we have a manager in place.

Why would they do that? Managers wouldn't be as interested to talk to us if there was a chance of Sam staying

common sense approach unlike other times....Flo springs to mind.

No, you misunderstood. Do you really think our club would want to miss out on compensation?
Well we gave away over 60m of keanes players.
35m of Mon"s players.
sold giac for 2m etc
Not as if we play hardball a la levy

Might even be able to be twisted by a legal type as some sort of constructive release from contract.

ie. FA made his position untenable?

I don't know how much we'd get, you're talking about compensation we receive from the FA? The club have to weigh it up, getting off to a bad start and struggling again this season might put the TV money in jeopardy, that is much more money than any compensation. Considering they haven't interviewed anyone else that I am aware of and took a week already it could go on for many more weeks.

Whichever way the cookie crumbles, I'm hopeful that we will hear something concrete tomorrow so that all this uncertainty stops.
