The chronicle pissing on the takeover

sounds like takeover, looks like a takeover... but is it actually a takeover when the people who are at the club now remain?
A different person (or people) will own the controlling shares in the club. By definition, it's a takeover. Donald will be involved to the extent his shares will be worth more when we eventually get back to the PL (in a million years)

definition? So what happens if this new kid on the block says ok... I will buy a controlling stake but I want you to continue to run the show. What definition is that of a takeover?
The definition that he has the majority of shares, it’s still a takeover no matter who he gets to run the show, even though the likelihood of him giving it to SD is negligible

It's like trying to nail blancmange to a ceiling with some people....

Let's just see who's left on the various boards when this is all complete. A Sunderland board of K L-D, JS, Jones, Sloanes and a new CEO would mean no influence whatsoever on the football side for Donald and Methven (which I suspect isn't a problem for them; they just want to keep some shares in the hope of jam tomorrow). Hunter's mistake is to assume that this radical (and it is radical) change in share distribution won't be accompanied by boardroom changes. Any majority shareholder controls the appointment of directors, and the identity of that shareholder is about to change.

He’s absolutely spot on

No it’s a fair view

Same idiots on here are the ones who slagged off the daily mail for pointing out the dodgy Donald deal

Spot on mate.

But let's not interrupt the Donald 2018 style wankfest that kicked off on Friday.

Too many fans are so desperate for change they'll embrace anything- the amateur hour shitkickers staying included.

It is possible though that the takeover is genuine and he will bring his own men in, just while SD and CM remain I am sceptical

He will, and he will also remove Donald from the boards he's currently on. That's how you implement change. These people aren't buggering about. L'Equipe says they've already got a 4 man shortlist for Sporting Director. And I'm fairly certain that this has happened because Sartori has had enough of Donald pissing the £5m or so he's put in up the wall.

If CM and SD have a minimal share, and as much as any of us know, it sounds like they will, why would that piss on peoples chips at the prospect of a take over.
why would that spoil the prospect of a takeover. I don’t care if they keep a share, a very minimal share that seems they will have minimal power.
Surely they will have as much power as any of us posting on here. In other words the sum total of nowt.

“Spot on” because they’re doing the same negative speculating as some dullards (some of whom are chronically wrong) on here?

Anyone that thinks fat Donald and slimey Charlie won’t be involved, won’t sit on the board, won’t influence what goes on etc. Then they are wrong. Very wrong. It was Charlie and Donald that brought Juan in as their front man at the very start.

not sure if he’s assuming but he’s certainly putting the question forward (however unlikely) and in doing so is clearly against SD & CM.
We all want and expect meaningful change from this.
