“But to me, this still sounds more like a boardroom reshuffle and the arrival of an external investor than a fully-fledged takeover.”
What a dick!
Is he wrong?

that is the way I see it, no takeover at all. 3 remaining board members and a new investor. We really need a clean sweep and rid the club of those who brought us down to our lowest level. This deal is NOT that.
Your defence of the chronicle is strong.
Considering its clear sobbing from the journalist.
Thought a lads fan would see that.

It's a positive step - anything that reduces Donald's influence is a positive step but the fact he is still involved albeit in a shareholder capacity leaves a bad taste. Hopefully there's a deal for him to completely fuck off within 12 months, which would make it a complete and clean takeover. This is the issue, there are clearly different levels of takeover. It is a takeover, however you try to twist it, it remains a takeover.
It's the best it's going to get what with Donald's refusal to accept a realistic price. Goodness knows how long he could have sat it out, while dragging us down with him.that is the way I see it, no takeover at all. 3 remaining board members and a new investor. if the new fella acquires in excess of 50% it is a takeover. It's a positive step - anything that reduces Donald's influence is a positive step but the fact he is still involved albeit in a shareholder capacity leaves a bad taste. I never said there were any doubts, I know nothing and cannot predict the future, just like you. Can it be worse than Donald, yes it could, but the chances are it will be better. I admit I was wrong about Donald at first, but he promised us to bring in investors, his greed got in the way of success. L’equipe are reporting that we are looking at the structure as a whole, Donald thought Parkinson had the best CV out there and was the best man for the job. He gave important roles to men from Eastleigh and ran away at the first sign of unrest. Forgive me if I give the potential new owners a head start on this one. That’s fine and I hope it’s true
All I’m saying is I have concerns they have 41% still
Not sure how that is an outrageous view personally considering they are the 3 most useless people ever associated with the club
Not sure how you can honestly say that there can’t be some doubt there. History shows things aren’t this crystal clear.
Thank you for your charming, carefully considered reply, I shall of courseignore your suggestion as it seems a little unpleasant. I am not negative. There is nowt to get carried away with. If it is true, the money is welcome but the parasites arestill present Largely ignored the Dell shit, hoped it would happen but couldn't get excited. We need a change. This is not my ideal because of the people involved . I xwould still welcome it if it happens but will wait before breaking out the '#cans"We have a new majority share holder (I hope) so stick your negative head down the bog for about 10 minutes
Not sure how anyone can be pleased at any arrangement which keeps those 3 twats with their fingers in the trough. The whole arrangement has disaster written all over it IMO
I have known James Hunter in the past, he's followed and reported on Sunderland for two decades. He definitely won't be sobbing but is just trying to be objective which is basically his job as a journalist.Your defence of the chronicle is strong.
