The Chronic - Keys and Gray

Unbelievable.

Soccer Saturday (Mainly Thommo) touched on it how clever Rafa was playing the dopey fuckers, Redknapp and Souness criticised his tactics yesterday and Keys and Gray all say the same as the other 6. If that is a jury, 8 of the 12 are all saying guilty

But Ashley is the enemy. In short the fucker has spent more (cry net spend, we could too this season) than 3 other managers, so be has spent.

I really hope Ashley does an Ellis and gives the deluded something to cry about

The net spend thing is a useful cover story for them.

The simple fact is that the money for the gross spend - the amount Rafa has actually committed to the purchase of new players - has t come from somewhere. That means either surplus trading income (profits, in other words), player sales or the owner. Given that the reason for buying new players is to refresh a squad or buy better players than you already have. To me at least, the most logical place to look for that money is in the cash you get for selling the players you no longer need in the squad, or who want to move on to another club. Actually, if you didn't do that, you;d end up with a first team squad of around 50, paying massive wages to all of them when only 18 can be in a match day squad.

What they're really grumbling about is that Ashley won't behave like the Mansours (even though he's a couple of orders of magnitude less wealthy), and pour unlimited funds into Newcastle.

Next 5 games, City, Man U and Palace away. Arsenal and Leicester at home, they could be adrift with Cardiff and Huddersfield by the middle of October

Fingers crossed but no doubt theyll fluke a win against Arsenal maybe and Leicester and keep above the drop zone.

To be fair I watched a bit of gray and keys with BSA and lil Dennis Wise on Bein sports other week. They slate every fkr, had a right go at Mourinho, deservedly so but come across as bitter arseholes for me.

Its all to get hits, views etc.. most poor journos do it.

theres a poll at the bottom of the article...it would be a shame not to use it:D

Sort of defeats the purpose of what media reporting is about. It's extremely childish and not what you'd expect from a professional publication, a fanzine perhaps, but not a newspaper. It's certainly not normal.
you mean a bit like Censorship of the press?

What gets me is the media coverage of all the protests and demonstrations. Both local and national are giving them serious coverage as if they have a valid point. When we were deep in crisis hardly anything was mentioned.
