Journalism

Banging on about they are on a channel that doesn’t air in the UK do why have an opinion on Newcastle. They were covering the game you dozy twats.

It reads like an opinion piece sent in by a reader. Not a professional writer,

A few good games for us and they’ve snapped. They’ve absolutely snapped
I expect another smash the town up fighting horses and killing telephone boxes if we go top of the league. Especially if the same day they go bottom.

Ready made replacement in the quacking Nolan...
Please please please happen. They will give him the Keegan treatment. “We have lost our world class manager but at least we have someone in that cares about the club” His lack of experience would send the bellends down.

What will they say if Benitez leaves and they’re still in 16/17th, barely touching the ball in games and a new manager comes in, goes on a huge unbeaten run and gets them top 5?
Laid the foundations mate. Left them in a great position. Gave everything for the clerb and the nation. Sacrificed himself etc etc etc.

Surprised the poll on there hasn't been hijacked yet
Thought that mesel when I voted on it.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion but until they express more balanced views we won't be publishing their views :lol:

Well what can you expect from their writers
They really have no idea of the concept of irony.

A professional journalist saying Rafa is playing like that on purpose to show Ashley this is all he can do with what he has at his disposal. Jesus wept man. It’s just getting beyond a joke now.
This is what is really irritating about Rafa, he gets defended on everything he does . He has been playing this style of Moyesesque 10 men behind the ball for most of his career and the media either lap it up or choose to ignore it. I was frankly astounded that he was given the Real Madrid job and he lasted longer than I expected. Now they are not only defending his tactics but suggesting he is doing it on purpose?? fuck off man  He falls out with players all the time and spends money on shite (mostly, his goalkeeper at Newcastle is one of his best tbf) . Can't believe he never gets the blame when it goes wrong wherever he has been and never winning anything of note in the past 13 years (He filled his Championship squad with good but not great 2nd tier players to boss the league without thinking about the size of the squad and Chelsea had a quality team in that Europa League)

Unbelievable.

Soccer Saturday (Mainly Thommo) touched on it how clever Rafa was playing the dopey fuckers, Redknapp and Souness criticised his tactics yesterday and Keys and Gray all say the same as the other 6. If that is a jury, 8 of the 12 are all saying guilty

But Ashley is the enemy. In short the fucker has spent more (cry net spend, we could too this season) than 3 other managers, so be has spent.

I really hope Ashley does an Ellis and gives the deluded something to cry about

It’s like they all forgot they beat Chelsea Just a few months ago. I’m starting to wonder if Rafa is the best politician ever, he goes to a club plays up to the fans gets involved with fans causes outside of football then starts the games with the owners. Knowing full well he’s earned grace with fans, it’s an easy trick up the road given everything is Ashley’s fault aswell.

Would rather Rafa took them down. They will all be standing there chanting his name as they get relegated - that would be the ultimate for me

Then off the Northumberland street to collectively shout at a shop, smash a phonebox, punch a horse and carry a coffin

They then hear the news that the Messiah has stepped down so they need to WEGO.......

All becoming a bit weird, cult like and brainwashing. It’s actually quite uncomfortable for me now that anyone who dares question Benitez is automatically wrong. And that includes fans too
Yes, it has taken a turn for the sinister.

Its one of the strangest situations I've ever know and I'm not just meaning in football. Just truly odd as fuck the way the whole things panning out but what makes it funnier is eventually Rafa will leave and someone will come in and almost certainly do a better job.

I'd say I'm a passionate supporter of my club and spend a little too much time thinking and talking about them. I also spend too much time and money following them around the country.

I sometimes act daft, have a pint too many and behave like the 20 year fanatic I once was.

But I watch these Newcastle supporters and can barely believe they're actually grown ups. It's as if they've been taken away, brainwashed and force fed the same unbelievable script.

And its not just the 'handful of idiots' the SMB Mags always blame. On MOTD there was a well spoken late middle aged woman reciting the Nation's weird illogical mantra. In one sentence she managed to blurt out the cornerstones of the gospel according to the Messiah ..... 'Rafa is a joy, net spend, Ashley is the devil, if Rafa goes I go'.

It's collective insanity and someone responsible needs to stand up and give them all a good hard slap across the face. Instead, the likes of Shearer repeat the same ludicrous nonsense on national television. Why MOTD gives Shearer, and now the supporters, a weekly platform I've absolutely no idea.

It's not as if there's actually the crisis it's all being made out to be ...
.... Newcastle are a well run PL club that the owner would like to sell. Perhaps its the constant maniacal funeral processions and shouting at shops that's put off potential buyers.

When your prospective clients are happy to state their wish to cripple the current owners business it's probably a little worrying. The fact they seek to embarrass Ashley inside the ground, issue death threats and disrupt the city centre can't be too appealing.

But nothing can stop these people from demonstrating how much better they are than 'normal' supporters .... perhaps they should consider being normal just for once.

Come on Reiver, you know the answer - it’s the pashun!!!

But seriously, don’t try and rationalise them - it’s impossible. Just thank the stars they are our rivals, sit back and enjoy the hilarity

Sort of defeats the purpose of what media reporting is about. It's extremely childish and not what you'd expect from a professional publication, a fanzine perhaps, but not a newspaper. It's certainly not normal.
Tbf, it’s a long long time Since anything to do with ‘that’ club has been normal?

I think its some kind of government experiment, a mix of inbreeding and brainwashing, just to see how f***ing stupid people can be, it appears they can be very stupid. Not sure how it all ends. Rafa the fraud leaves, 56,000 screaming Geordies (not including the millions locked out of the ground) throw themselves of the Tyne bridge wearing the iconic number 9 shirt bought at Sports Direct?

'Now everyone is entitled to an opinion. It’s the sign of United’s importance in the game that so many want to talk about them, after all'.

Well there you have it folks. Summed up in 26 words by Mr. Mark Douglas.
:lol::lol::lol::lol:
Is he not taking the piss with the whole article?

Read on Twitter this morning their fans saying that Rafa would have done much better and won trophies with the Keegan and Robson squads.....not if you don’t attack teams?
I understnd to a point why you would defend but chelsea yes have won 3/3 but haven’t looked like City or Liverpool so why fear them like those two? Additionally it reminds me of last season when he done this against city and another team for ‘damage limitation’......goal difference etc towards the season, is ironic that IF previous managers of them had done that which they did then there would be up roar! It’s funny how that squad is his picking, and he has spent money and in fairness Ashley Is simply a bloody successful businessman. He has invested he has rebuilt them and has wheeled and deal in the mrket over the years.....getting £30 each for the two lads when they went down was genius at the time. They are not a BIG team in top six etc sonshouod accept that .....they won’t naturally.
