The centre backs today

 I didn’t say/type that.

We didn’t ‘hoof’ it today without Ballard and 09, we obviously have a style of play that’s indoctrinated into the squad.

If Seelt is a better defender than 09 and can pass the ball with 80% of 09’s ability then I’d prefer the better defender.
Nah I know  think I meant specifically for today. (Might have had a too few many)
Seelt as a defender is probably than 09 but as a captain he's undroppable sadly.

I like 09 for his enthusiasm, adaptability, gamesmanship etc. but imho he makes too many mistakes as CB and is too reckless in midfield. It’s a conundrum.

Seelt....I've watched it back four times now and can only think either Patto didn't call him that the ball was coming to him. Another of those cross the box balls🙄
Haven't re watched the game yet. Watching it live thought they both had their moments with Seelt been the better of the two. We had bigger problems today directly in front of them where our two central midfielders decided to have a f***ing mare between them. If the pair of them can't realise they need to concentrate for every second of every game then they will not forfill their potential, love them both but for fucks sake they were appalling today - great for two lads making their full debuts behind them - not.

Well said mate, wouldnt worry neither will play next game.Think its always the same on here after a win ,players can come on for a cameo have a shot and the cry goes up to start them .
They looked terrible.

The result and the team we played papered over that. It’ll be a different story against a team in the top 10

Your absolutely correct about both Neil and Ekwah. Couldn't pass a ball of tackle between them. Neil had reverted back to been caught dallying on the ball then losing posession.

Thought they both did ok. Before the match, Triantis was the one I was more concerned about as seemed the least ready of the two for first team football. And tbf he probably wouldn't have played if events hadn't forced Mowbray's hand. Admittedly up against a poor side too. But, all that aside, they can both only improve. Either will benefit from playing alongside someone like Ballard, so interested to see what TM does from the Plymouth game onwards

Stupid prick. You know absolutely fuck all about football if you don't see O'9 is essential to what Mowbray wants to happen. Obviously never see the good and only his mistakes, whatever mate but hope your misery continues while he leads our team till at least the end of the season.
Dry your eyes sweetcheeks. I’ve played a far higher standard of football than you would ever know judging by your opinions of 09. X

Obviously not that high as you don't recognise content and effectiveness over technique/ability. Oh, and please let us peasants know at what level you did play, I'm sure it will help us all from having an opinion of our own in the future. Or maybes not .....

Agree with the majority, dodgy moments, both grew into the game, not helped by us consistently losing the ball in midfield/our own half. Think it will have done them both the world of good, the next time they start this experience should settle any nerves.

I think obviously Ballard and O'Nien come back in at Plymouth.

Well said mate.

Spot on Neilsy and Eksy gave the ball away too easily.
Because the reason Neil and Ekwah had no space is that the centre halfs weren't bringing the ball out of defence so in general the midfield were recieving the ball in a tighter space closer to their own goal as the defenders werent pushing things up the pitch. Like when O'nien goes past a forward and ends up near the half way line then the whole team is 20-30 yards up. I think that makes sense in my head.

I thought they were fine really.

I thought both were decent at passing it out , especially Seelt.

Tough start for them really. They would have been better starting out versus a sitting deep team, so to just about cope with a very high press was a credit to them

I get what you’re saying but the midfield didn’t half fanny on with it at times, it might not have been brought forward as much as onien would usually but they still had time to release the ball with a simple pass but decided to keep it for too long and we’d just end up losing possession

Agree with this.

I also think when the chance comes along to give them both game time we should give them it. The second halves against Sheff Wed away and Southampton at home were great opportunities to give at least one of them some minutes and a break for 09 or DB.

Understandably looked nervy with it being their first start, Triantis only finding out after the warm up.

Thought they grew into the game and looked more comfortable second half. Very raw and still both only 20 year old. Well done to them. Potential is there.
I didn’t realise triantis was playing until he scored 😂
