The centre backs today

Poor on occasions, looked very nervy at times and Seelt was guilty of ball watching. However - they're two 20 year olds starting for the first time in the Championship with no real experience around them and it wasn't even the defence we were going to start with.

Given their level of experience we're
asking for miracles from them in that situation and added to that Brum got their press spot on time and time again and sloppiness in front of them (as well as their own) added to the situation.

We won - they've had valuable minutes and experience.

Players playing in their correct positions doing a good job, who'd gave thought it.

I enjoyed seelts performance particularly. Once up to speed I'd doubt we'd get done in the air either. May allow us to stop defending set pieces with 11 men in the box.

All entitled to our opinions. But have a look back at the foul that led to the Swansea penalty last week. He's been doing it all season and been lucky to get away with it for so long.
I was there. Saw it. I think he’s entitled to make the odd mistake ( as are all the players)and still think he offers a lot.
But it’s all opinion as you rightly say👍

They definitely weren't as adept at our style of playing out from the back as the usual back two, but they did alright given the circumstances. That said I hope we never have to play the pair of them together again this season.
Eh what planet ya one both looked very comfortable on the ball

Thought Nectar struggled playing out from the back at times but to be fair Brum flooded the midfield.

Both he and Seelt stepped up and there's definitely a player there in both of them. Just need time.

Birmingham's press was causing them tons of problems in the first half, they couldn't move the ball quick enough. It stopped being as much of an issue when Birmingham tired but we were all over the place for most of the first half.

Think it was pretty clear that neither are good enough yet to displace O'Nien and Ballard.

They did well though after a nervy start and will be challenging for a starting place next season I reckon.

Thought it was odd Rooney didn't bring on Hogan and the other big lad on sooner.

Seemed a no brainer against two 20 year old centre backs playing their first game together.

Triantis must have had a talking to at half time because he was a completely different player in the second half.

Bit nervy in moments but in terms of defending the box they were both good. Fair play lads.
Apart from Seelts quite obvious ball watching for the Brum goal?

All things aside it was a good result from a pretty poor first half performance. Brum caused us issues with the press and our lack of experience told, but quality came out in the end.

Happy with it overall as they have to be introduced sometime but it's difficult to do without cup games. Some Good minutes for a few of the new lads.

Understandably looked nervy with it being their first start, Triantis only finding out after the warm up.

Thought they grew into the game and looked more comfortable second half. Very raw and still both only 20 year old. Well done to them. Potential is is there.
Some dodgy moments first half esp Triantis, but Seelt not watching game when Patto played the ball to him was worst moment of game.
Both attack the ball in the air which is good , Seelts passing is good whilst Triantis plays it simple and both like a tackle but turn like the Tirpitz.
Thankfully Brum aren't that good, as the likes of Leicester, Leeds and TBs might have exposed them.
Overall, not bad considering, but both understandably have a long way to go.

Didn't the big Polish lad cause us issues in the past? Can't remember when exactly.Thought it was a bit strange but I guess they had a game plan in terms of the press and it did cause us issues for much of the game.
