The Brazilian Ronaldo

The fact he’s known as ‘The Brazilian Ronaldo’ says it all.

He was a top player but nowhere near Cristiano like.

Which is why Christiano has to be in the top 3 or 4 of all time. 33 and still doing it at the highest possible level.

The other Ronaldo was a phenomenon, mind but Romario was every bit as good a striker albeit in a different way.

Certainly up there as one of the best strikers of all time.

Messi and Ronaldo are hard to compare with him as the game has changed so much / they are very different types of players. He couldnt do what they do but also they could do what he did (play on the last man, poach, burn players for pace).

Fat Ronald:cool: aside. I saw him play in New York a few times. He was unreal, as was the hype around him. This was his undoing in the end. If, as in the Gazza thread, great players have a great, sometimes egotistical mindset, then this is what let him down. It's why Christiano will always be better.

Horrific injuries was his undoing.
