The Brazilian Ronaldo

I don't think Messi and Ronaldo would have done it without each other, almost like two rival boxers needed each other to get better

I agree. Look at someone like Ronaldinho, who had a few years at his absolute peak but then became complacent and went backwards. Messi and CRon have driven eachother forwards and both have embraced the challenge of maintaining their quite ridiculous standards.

Hard to even say how good he was, and almost impossible to judge from clips of games. His pace was insane but it was the way he produced it with little short quick steps so he was always closer to the ball and capable of changing speed and direction then anyone before or since. He looked like he was on a sped up film. In the modern game with the protections players get I genuinely dont know how anyone could stop him, youd have 3 sendings off a game.

Brazilian Ronaldo the best number 9 ever. Modern day Ronaldo has adapted his game well to the number 9 role but he was better a few years ago, where he was cropping up in all forward areas and given freedom. He's had to adapt getting older.

He is 34 tbf, still scored 44 goals last season and has 25 this season so he’s not really suffering from adapting his game.

Fat Ronaldo never scored more than 30 after 2003/04 and played for another 8 years with three of those in the Brazilian league.

Fat Ron was brilliant but not as good as Thin Ron.

Portuguese Ronaldo's longevity is absolutely unbelievable and better than fat Ronaldo. Portuguese Ronaldo has achieved more in the game and will go down as one of the all time greats. As a number 9, I think fat Brazilian Ronaldo was better. Also don't forget when looking at numbers 90s serie A was notoriously hard to score in. Cristiano has adapted his game to the role, has the physique to do it and like you say is not suffering. He's still up there with Messi. He's not as good as he was a few years ago though when he was quicker and cropping up all over the front line.

Ronaldo, Romario, Rivaldo. The Brazilians has some forwards in the early to mid 90s

You mean the ‘fat’ Ronaldo who has a medical condition which you’ve just chosen to make fun of because of his weight?

Feel sorry for those who think Ronaldo was better than Romario.

My favourite ever player

Incredible player. In the time he was at his peak before his injuries I don’t think that I’ve seen better.

Knows ^

A very good post.

Nailed it.

I wasn't aware of a medical condition. He is fat. Peter Crouch is tall and zola is small. Let's not get carried away, snowflake.

Both class like but I agree Thin Ron is the better one and he doesn’t look like slowing down yet keeps improving.

That’s life style choices that I bet when Thin Ron retires he won’t turn into a Fat Ron

If you called him hyperthyroid Ronaldo who is consequentially larger in body mass than below-the-mean-BMI-for-age-and-gender-portugese-Ronaldo, helping distinguish the two through ones unfortunate medical condition, then that would have been fine.
