You weren't the better team though. Penalty aside Pickford was making worldy saves to keep you in it

if you look at the final score i think you'll find we were mind, or was it one of those 'false wins' or should we play the game again on footy manager?
what a clown.

From someone who was there this is exactly correct. The people in the stands were immaculate.
this^^

From one of their message boards:

"Then again would you rather be an AFCB or a Sunderland fan after watching that? We've got some issues but they are utter sh*te. Watching their fans celebrate reminded me of those programmes on TV where morbidly obese people try to lose weight. Yeah you lost 2lb this week but it's no use - you'll be back binging on pies next week and will still die of heart disease."

Obviously they wouldn't have celebrated under such circumstances. Honestly, they have nee f***ing idea have they??

More disturbing is that the message board also says that our fans didn't observe the minute's silence before the game. I hope that's not correct....
Nice to see that posh ***** on the south coast are speaking like wearside pit yackers. Shite and nee FFS.

The fans in the stands did observe the minute's silence impeccably, there was noise coming from those under the stand and those still outside, the ground being so small meant the chanting was easy to hear, no disrespect was shown by anyone.
Spot on there Vic, those in the stands were silent, those on the concourse and outside the ground were singing as they did not know the minute's silence had started.

As for Bournemouth fans, I chatted to a fair few of them before and after the game and they were fantastic. There's no arrogance about them. They have come a long way in a few years and fully deserve to celebrate it. Don't tar all their fans with the same brush just because somebody posts some garbage on the internet. I would not want Sunderland fans to be judged by some of the bollocks posted on here.

I thought their defence was extremely poor. Also, they have spent a decent amount from memory with no discernible improvement (during the game yesterday).

Most of them are sound but there was some sour grapes about the place yesterday.

Yes but you can alwats argue people tell you what you want to hear to your face but think entirely different in private.

Eddie Howe will move on to better things and they will return to where they belong.
The balance of the universe will be restored.

You could hear our lot still singing on my stream, a case of still being in the concourse and not knowing what is going on.
That's a shite excuse though, I mean if you're going to the game at this time of year, you know they'll have a silence, our fans should've shut the fuck up, it was disrespectful.

Rubbish. I've just looked through your posting history and not once have you given us any praise. That is not being objective.

Get a life man. Did you actually watch our full game or are you just referring to edited highlights?
motd pissed me off. As it always does. those highlights + Lineker and Jenas's comments made it look like we got battered from start to finish.
Although we looked suspect at the back throughout we were always in it and at 1-1 we were much the better team.
We were lucky we didn't concede when Piennar was sent off and Moyes invited the pressure by going 4-5-0 as we were really under the cosh but once Anichebe was restored to cf and Denayer came on the win never looked in doubt. (I was confident honest)
Certainly wasn't the smash and grab they'd have you believe

Bournemouth are awful at the back and are carrying a passenger in Wiltshire. We were the better team at 1-1.

I hated our ultra negative tactics with 10 men and we got lucky, especially with their misses bit fuck them, 3 points to us :)
Spot on

That's one person's view, try not to condemn them all

Read the ALS and Wise Men Say twitter feeds from yesterday, both ran by people with a very very limited knowledge of football, I hope other fans don't judge us all based on them.

Of course, if I was a Bournemouth fan I'd be pretty pissed off. Losing to a side who have not won all year, playing against 10 men, enough decent chances to have won the game comfortably. I have seen many similar performances by Sunderland over the years. I have watched Bournemouth a fair few times over the years, from when they were given the huge points deduction to where they are now and have always found their fans welcoming and friendly.

bless his cotton socks.

i lived in and around bournemouth for 7 years back in the day. cracking town, great place to live but hardly anyone gave a flying fuck about the football club. fair play to them for getting into the prem but half of those buying season tickets there now also 'support' man utd, l'pool, chelsea or arsenal etc and will go back to those clubs when b'mouth head back down the leagues.
